Las Vegas considers curfew for people under 21 after shooting incident

A shooting incident on Fremont Street, Las Vegas on Monday has prompted officials to discuss whether the city should have a curfew for people under 21 years old.
On the early morning of July 4, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) responded to reports of a shooting near 4th Street and Fremont Street near the Las Vegas Strip.
Two male suspects had started a fight and one of them fired a gun at the other, authorities said. Video of the incident posted online reveals a group of men fighting in a crowd. The crowd disperses when shots are fired.
The following day, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman said city officials are considering a curfew.
“We had a productive meeting this morning about [Fremont Street Experience] security with #DTLV property owners and @LVMPD,” Goodman tweeted Tuesday. “We’re all in agreement there is no tolerance for violence/crime.”
The mayor also said that police and city marshals “have committed to an increased law enforcement presence.”
“Our City Attorney will prosecute violators to the fullest, and we’re exploring a curfew for those under 21,” she wrote.
Two separate shooting incidents occurred in the popular tourist area in less than a month. A June 19 shooting on Fremont Street left one person dead and another one injured. The suspect in the earlier shooting is just 16 years old, according to FOX 5 Las Vegas. The LVMPD arrested the teen who allegedly shot and killed a 23-year-old man.
Sin City has been implementing a curfew of 10 p.m. on weeknights and midnight on weekends for people under 18 years old.

Curfew of 10pm for persons 18 and under, yet 16 yr old was out shooting? That curfew worked great, must be easy to enforce???
Now a curfew for 21 and under? Bet that will be enforceable also!
The problem is “to many stupid duplicate laws that nobody pays attention to anymore” due to the fact they aren’t enforced!
Same with more duplicate gun laws, how about phone use and texting while driving, drinking and driving.
Also to many really stupid “lawmakers” making to many stupid laws that don’t get enforced, so just write more!
Is there a way to bring back “COMMON SENSE “??

Makes perfect sense to me. Let’s punish the 95 percent of the people that are decent and law-abiding, while not doing anything to the idiot 5 percent that is causing the problems. TYPICAL democrat lunacy!!!
