  • Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow said she would throw beer at Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh if she saw them at a tailgate.
  • McMorrow faced strong criticism from conservatives and Republican groups after her remarks surfaced online.
  • McMorrow has previously drawn scrutiny for her comments and associations with far-left activists.

Mallory McMorrow, a Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan, was recorded last month saying she would not have been able to control herself if she encountered Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh at a tailgate event.

“There would be beers thrown in peoples’ faces,” McMorrow told supporters at a Huron Valley Indivisible event.

The comments ignited swift backlash from conservatives, including the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

“She needs help,” the group stated on social media.

Additional conservative leaders criticized her rhetoric, expressing concerns about open hostility toward Supreme Court justices.

“It’s impossible for a Democrat candidate to not be a crazed and violent radical,” Club for Growth President David McIntosh wrote on X.

Other prominent commentators suggested McMorrow’s statements were part of a broader pattern among Democrat politicians.

“Pattern of Democrat politicians up to and including Chuck Schumer openly encouraging violence against Supreme Court justices,” commented Molly Hemmingway, editor-in-chief of The Federalist.

When reached for comment, the McMorrow campaign did not respond.

McMorrow has previously faced criticism after headlining a Democratic event where signs displayed language hostile to former President Trump and his supporters.

Her campaign spokesman later stated, “This sign was wrong. Especially now, we each have a responsibility to choose our words and signs carefully, and avoid anything that may be interpreted as a call to violence.”

McMorrow has also been scrutinized for her connections to radical activists.
