The most accomplished Olympic women’s bobsledder in history is taking a stand for biological women in sports. Kaillie Humphries, a six-time Olympic medalist, has officially joined XX-XY Athletics as a brand ambassador in the growing movement to preserve fairness in women’s athletics.

“Being able to partner with a brand that believes in the same things I do, that’s willing to stand up and actively work on protecting the women’s space and women’s sports is huge,” Humphries told Fox News Digital.

Humphries first made headlines for her conservative views during a viral interview with Fox News following the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February. She had just won bronze in women’s bobsled, her sixth career Olympic medal. The champion athlete revealed she faced significant backlash after publicly identifying as a Republican and supporting traditional women’s sports protections, but she refused to back down.

In March, President Donald Trump honored Humphries at a White House Women’s History Month event. During the ceremony, she presented Trump with her Order of Ikkos medal in recognition of his executive actions protecting women’s sports from biological male competitors.

“Being able to come back to the USA after the Olympics and then be able to make connections and meet some people, I was able to, when I went to the White House, I was able to meet people that were connected obviously in working with XX-XY and that’s how the conversation started,” Humphries said.

Originally from Canada, Humphries competed in her first three Olympics for the Canadian team before moving to the United States in 2016. She later represented Team USA at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, making her the only Olympian to win gold medals for two different countries.

The issue became personal for Humphries when she witnessed the controversy surrounding Lia Thomas, a biological male who competed on UPenn’s women’s swim team and won championships against female athletes. As a California resident and new mother to a baby boy, she’s now particularly focused on combating the surge of transgender athletes in girls’ sports, especially in her home state, which has become ground zero for this cultural battle.

XX-XY Athletics co-founder Jennifer Sey, a former U.S. gymnast, had previously stated that recruiting high-profile Olympic medalists was a key goal for the brand. With Humphries on board, the company now has a three-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the most decorated athletes in winter sports history representing their mission.

“Kaillie is the GOAT of her sport. She is the only Olympian to win gold for two different countries. She is an elite athlete and a courageous, fierce woman who has fought for female athletes to have equal opportunities in sport,” Sey told Fox News Digital.

“The women’s monobob event exists because of Kaillie’s leadership, and she has gold-medal proof that women have the skill, strength, and speed to compete at the highest level. She has driven meaningful change and expanded opportunities for women at the Olympic level — more female athletes represent Team USA because of Kaillie. And that’s exactly why we’re leading with her as we grow in how we support female athletes.”

Humphries joins a growing roster of Olympic champions at XX-XY Athletics, including silver medalist gymnast MyKayla Skinner and gold medal swimmer Nancy Hogshead. Together, these elite athletes are using their platforms to defend the integrity of women’s sports and ensure future generations of female competitors have a level playing field.
