Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood tweets VP Pence should be executed by firing squad

• In a barrage of tweets, Pro-trump lawyer and supporter L. Lin Wood slammed Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and the Republicans over voter fraud and election results.
• Wood was rebuked by fellow Republican allies which include Attorney Jenna Ellis.
• GOP lawmakers are planning to object to President-elect Joe Biden’s victory on January 6.

President Donald Trump supporter and attorney L. Lin Wood faced a backlash from fellow GOP allies for his threatening tweets.

In a fury of tweets he posted on Friday night, Wood called out “the Republicans,” accusing them as enablers of the election fraud. He also warned that “when arrests for treason begin, put Chief Justice John Roberts, VP Mike Pence, & Mitch McConnell at top of list.”

Wood also said that the military should “lock them all up,” saying that Pence “is a coward and will sing like a bird and confess all.”

He further lambasted Pence, arguing that the vice president should object to the election results and quit his post.

Pence, McConnell, and Roberts, as well as Trump, did not react to Wood’s statements on Twitter. Two staunch allies of Trump, however, slammed Wood because of his remarks.

A member of Trump’s campaign legal counsel, Jenna Ellis rebuked Wood on Friday night.

“To be clear: I do not support the statements from Attorney Lin Wood. I support the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution,” she wrote on Twitter.

High school student and pro-Trump supporter Nicholas Sandmann, who went after various media outlets, also expressed his dismay against the lawyer, saying: “I’m sorry but what the hell.”

In February 2019, Sandmann was represented by Wood in his defamation lawsuit against The Washington Post and several news outlets following a coverage showing his face-to-face encounter with a Native American activist earlier that year.

Pressed about his condemning remarks against Wood, Sandmann stood firm with his tweet on Saturday. “True loyalty involves criticism when necessary,” he said.

Wood has done numerous moves to sabotage President-elect Joe Biden’s win since November 3rd, which includes filing lawsuits to flip over the election results in the key battleground states of Georgia and Michigan.

Pence, on the other hand, was largely absent as Trump made public addresses claiming he was cheated as the election was “rigged.” The vice president is reportedly criticized by Trump and GOP colleagues for being complacent about the election results.

On Saturday, though, Pence said that he is welcoming the Republican lawmakers’ move to object to the Electoral College votes certification on January 6. Such opposition could delay the certification of results but still cannot reverse the outcome.

Responding against the hateful comments he received, Wood pushed back on Friday night, saying: “The tweets about my insanity are at an all-time high this morning… No worries. I am fine. The attacks do not concern me.”
