Clear Facts

  • The Baltimore Ravens face the Buffalo Bills on the road to open their 2025 season, a rematch of last January’s divisional playoff game.
  • The Bills previously defeated the Ravens 27-25, but went on to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
  • Ravens offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley emphasized the significance of the matchup and expressed confidence in tight end Mark Andrews after last season’s critical errors.

The Baltimore Ravens’ first game of the 2025 season will be an away matchup against the Buffalo Bills, who previously ended the Ravens’ playoff run.

The Bills narrowly beat the Ravens last time, with the Chiefs eliminating them in the next round, echoing recent AFC playoff trends.

Two-time Pro Bowler Ronnie Stanley voiced how much this game means for Baltimore.

“That team sent us home out of the playoffs, so I don’t think it’s just (like) going into a normal game, per se. We’re very unhappy with the result last time we were there, and a lot of us will give anything to leave there with a ‘W,’”

he told reporters.

Mark Andrews, the Ravens’ tight end, faced criticism for key mistakes in the playoff loss, including a fumble and a dropped pass on a two-point attempt.

Stanley affirmed his trust in Andrews’ resilience and commitment.

“Every game is going to be important to (Mark Andrews). I know the type of competitor Mark is, and he’s not going to let one moment (or) one bad thing (that) happen to set him back.”

“He’s a true warrior,”

Stanley said.

“He’s going to push forward through those moments, and I know he’s excited to prove (to) himself and everyone else that he’s still that guy.”

The Ravens finished strong last year, topping the AFC North division with a 12-5 record, setting expectations high for the new season.

Fans are eager to see if Baltimore can deliver a statement win and set the tone with determination and accountability.
