The event was chaired by Reps. Ilhan Omar and Pramila Jayapal, focusing on heightened ICE operations and the shooting of Renee Good.
During her remarks, Tlaib held up a DHS post featuring a mountainous scene with the phrase, “we will have our home again.”
“We will have our home again,” the congresswoman said, presenting the photo. “What does that evoke in you when you see this? It literally, when I see it, as a Muslima, as a Palestinian, as a child of immigrants, I see that this is something that is evoking like I’m not welcome here.”
Tlaib asserted the Federal Government is “openly embracing white nationalist online content, including in a recruitment post after ICE agent … killed Renee Good.”
She mentioned an Instagram version of the post paired with a song titled “We’ll Have Our Home Again,” suggesting its popularity in extremist circles.
“It’s popularized in neo-Nazi spaces,” Tlaib said of the song. “The track features lines about reclaiming our home by ‘Blood or sweat,’ language often used in white nationalist calls for a race war.”
Reports show the phrase has appeared in fringe forums, but there’s no evidence linking it to the Ku Klux Klan.
Anti-ICE protests have increased after an ICE agent shot Good, who reportedly accelerated a vehicle towards the officer.
DHS stated that Good “weaponized her vehicle” in an act termed “domestic terrorism.”
Tlaib has previously accused her political opponents of being “fascist,” leading to heated exchanges in Congress.

I DARE those dems to stand up & let a 2,000 # + vehicle come at them. They would have wet, brown stained underwear. Dems don’t even know what they are doing anymore. The minute something doesn’t go their way they scream RACISM. TLAIB & OMAR SHOULD NOT EVEN BE IN CONGRESS. The still have allegiancy their home countries & HAMAS & HEZBOLLAH.

You are spot on. I term these two un-American citizens. The trashy culture and view points that have been allowed to enjoy American hospitality are hell bent on destroying the America I came to in 1969. Unlike these and others like them we took the United States as our home and I served in the United States Medical Corps.
It is my belief that unless these people with snitty ideas are thrown out of the country applying every means available. Every insurrectionists that encourages or works to keep the undesirables out and expel everyone here illegally in the last five years must be detained under the Insurrection Act. These snits are participating in an insurrection. If people do not want to be shot at by ICE personnel DO NOT get in their way. They are stressed, threatened, injured by these scum who do not belong here and have every right to shoot to protect themselves from these scumbags.
