Trump aides believe a family member is FBI’s informant

- The FBI searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home after an informant tipped them off.
Aides to former President Donald Trump believe that a member of his family may have tipped off the FBI about the presence of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, The Guardian reported.
Multiple sources close to Trump told the publication that after the August 8 search of Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida, aides began speculating about who could have been speaking to the agency.
In the search, agents took more than a dozen boxes of items, including highly classified information. Agents appeared to have specific information about what to look for.
Speculation initially focussed on Trump’s political aides and resort staff at Mar-a-Lago, the outlet’s sources said, before shifting to those closest to Trump.
According to the sources, some aides were convinced that only a family member would have known to point agents to a particular leather-bound box, as well as knowing the location of Trump’s safe.
Mary Trump, the former president’s niece and his former personal attorney Michael Cohen have speculated that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, could be the informant.
According to multiple reports, agents conducting the raid were acting on information, including witness testimony, that Trump had been keeping all the classified information which was requested by the Justice Department and National Archives.
The New York Times reported that agents also obtained surveillance footage via subpoena of a hallway near the storage room where the documents were being kept and saw something that alarmed them.
The Justice Department has asked a judge not to release the affidavit which details the probable cause on the search was based on, saying that it could provide information about the scope of the investigation.
Trump has said he wants the document to be made public.
The warrant used in the search, which was unsealed Friday, showed that agents believe Trump may have violated several laws, including the Espionage Act.

Trust of Trump aides is far more in question! They would have access to info locations and may harbor animosity of President Trump and/or his family.
Blaming family gets aides off the accusation/culpability hook! Who cares about anything Mary Trump has to add to the story?

As I understand it, there are dozens of Secret Service agents at Mar-a-Lago. It would be an easy thing for the DOJ to pressure one or two of these federal employees to snoop around the place and see what was available for seizure, like the Crossfire Hurricane records, which could send many high-ranking bureaucrats to jail. The continuing “leaks” from DOJ will try to paint all members of Trump’s staff and family as sources of info justifying the raid, and we’ll NEVER see the affidavit nor the real reasons for the raid until DOJ/FBI is disbanded.

A silly article. Could be various ones and to comment that that awful family niece knows? CNN had asked her and she hemmed and hawed, stated she wished it could be EVERYONE THERE, but “Maybe it was Jared. Yeah, maybe Jared!” She’s just trying to cause hardship for her relatives she has always hated. She needs extensive psych help for her anger issues and extreme depression.
The Archives Dept had been there, returned the boxes there and knew what was in them after going through them for 3 months while they had them (and could have easily slipped fraudulent papers into them as easily could be part of the whole plan) AND recommended he put an extra lock on the door to the storage room.

If there is a God- and there is; there will be justice for Pres Trump – someday soon I hope. The man was certainly more honest and transparent during the four years in the White House – than anything we had seen or heard in many years. I’m (84) years old- I say Pres Trump was the BEST president of my time. I saw a lot of them come and go. WHO DOESNT MISS HIM NOW??

Finger pointing is the name of the demonrats game! President Trump needs to watch every one, leave no stone unturned. If a family member betrayed him, he should file suit against that person, ban them from mar-a-Lago, and tell the world who the traitor is. If it is a secret service person, they need to face harsh consequences. And be outed as a traitor. The secret service is there to PROTECT president Trump and his family, not stab them in the back! This circles right back around to Obama and crossfire hurricane! There must be some information that they don’t want made public, because it would result in a lot of arrests for treason. obama will cover his arse no matter what. He doesn’t care who takes the fall, as long as it isn’t him! He had so many scapegoats during his administration willing to fall on the sword to protect him, now that information could be revealed. Every administration has taken boxes of papers from their administration. Trump has as much right as any. Obama & Biden & Clinton, just want to see him in the news instead of them! They are still trying to bury Hunters shit! After seeing the pictures, as stupid POS Hunter videoed his life, I can see why the Obidens want to hide the pics of 14yo Melia & POS Hunter naked! Actually I would have shot my VP’s son for that! POS Hunter took pictures of himself naked with his cousin, sister, niece, brother’s widow, as well as all the others he was with!
The Bidens are all very sick and discussing & this needs to be dealt with not pushed aside or hushed.
