WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • According to an NBC News report, President Donald Trump was worried as his campaign’s legal team was composed of “fools that are making him look bad.”
  • Trump’s campaign team has not yet won any single suit that aimed at challenging the election results and Joe Biden’s victory.
  • The counsel team has not yet given any feedback on the news report.

With President-elect Joe Biden’s apparent victory, President Donald Trump has expressed discomfort over his counsel team’s continuous failure to legally challenge the election results.

NBC News reported on Monday that Trump was worried because his campaign’s legal counsel, spearheaded by attorney Rudy Giuliani, was a bunch of “fools that are making him look bad.”

Trump’s legal counsel, calling itself the “elite strick force team,” has not yet gotten any successful step despite filing several lawsuits to contest the election results. The team has continuously claimed widespread voter fraud without factual evidence.

One of the team’s members, conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell, was immediately discharged after suggesting that Georgia governor Brian Kemp, a Republican, and the secretary state were included in a plot to manipulate the election against Trump without any proof.

Before her dismissal, Powell also made the same accusations during a press conference at the Republican National Committee (RNC) headquarters in Washington.

According to NBC, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction to White House officials and allies on how Giuliani and Powell presented his case during the event.

Giuliani, who presided at the RNC’s press conference, had so much perspiration that black sweat went down to his cheeks which came from his black hair dye. According to an insider who told NBC News, the scenery did not sit well with Trump as Giuliani went ahead with claiming unsubstantial accounts of voting fraud.

Another member of Trump’s legal counsel is Jenna Ellis, a senior legal advisor. After a US federal judge on Saturday ruled against Trump’s request, instructing the Pennsylvania officials to certify the votes, Ellis made a hilarious remark on Twitter, saying that GOP pollster Frank Luntz had “MicroPenis Syndrome.”

Given the president’s apparent annoyance, it is still not clear why Giuliani and other lawyers continue with their stint as Trump’s campaign legal counsel.

Last Sunday, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, an ally of the president, called the legal counsel team a “national embarrassment.”

Trump’s campaign has not given any comment on the NBC News report.
