President Trump said that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reached out to him with a request for pardon. Trump clarified this request was sent in a letter, but he has decided not to grant Combs clemency.

The contents of the letter have not been made public.

When asked by the media, Trump responded.

“Oh, would you like to see that letter?”

He did not show the document.

A spokesperson for the White House referred reporters to Trump’s official statement when questioned about the document.

Combs’ legal team appealed his 2025 conviction and sentencing, claiming the judge was unfair in his ruling.

Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence after being found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution, while cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Trump acknowledged he and Diddy were friendly before his presidential run.

“I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and seemed like a nice guy, I didn’t know him well,”

Trump stated in 2025.

“But when I ran for office, he was very hostile.”

President Trump confirmed he is not considering pardons for select high-profile individuals, such as Nicolás Maduro, Robert Menendez, and Sam Bankman-Fried.

He also indicated he has not been approached about clemency for Derek Chauvin.
