Actor’s Mysterious Medical Ordeal Sparks Hollywood Concerns

In a recent interaction with fans, Jamie Foxx tried to shed some light on a personal medical ordeal which kept him out of the public eye for more than a fortnight last year. The Oscar-winning actor spoke to concerned fans outside a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona.

“I was gone for 20 days,” began Foxx, remembering the tough time. His exact words were,
“Look, April 11 last year, bad headache, asked my boy for an Advil… I was gone for 20 days.”

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, had previously updated the public about her father’s sudden hospitalization due to a “medical complication”. She expressed gratitude for the swift action and excellent care that facilitated his recovery. She shared on social media,
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery… We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Discussing the incident, Foxx admitted that he had no memory of the event.

“I don’t remember anything,” he confessed. “So they told me – I’m in Atlanta – my sister and my daughter, they took me to the first doctor and they said… ‘nah,’ gave me a cortisone shot.”

He also revealed that the next doctor raised concerns about his condition, but chose not to delve into specifics.

“The next doctor said, ‘Something’s going on up there.’ I won’t say it on camera, I won’t say it on camera. But it was …” Foxx said, trailing off in deep thought.

After his medical scare, Foxx, with the support of his friends and family, has gradually returned to the limelight.

“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through,” he expressed in an emotional Instagram post. “I know a lot of people were waiting, or wanting to hear updates, and to be honest with you – I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”

Foxx acknowledged the difficult months that followed his hospitalization.

“I’ve been sick, man, but now, I’ve got my legs under me, so you’re going to see me out,” he said. “I’m here on Earth because of some great people. I’m here on Earth because of God.”

Foxx has several projects lined up, including the long-awaited Mike Tyson biopic, an action-thriller, “Tin Soldier,” alongside Robert De Niro and Scott Eastwood.

He also recently launched his own BSB Whiskey as an owner and creative director, a venture inspired by his renewed appreciation for life following the medical scare.

“I’ve learned that life is precious, which is why it’s so important for us to go after what we want,” he said, reflecting his resilience in the face of adversity.
