Authorities named Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente as the suspect in Saturday’s tragic Brown University shooting. The incident claimed two student lives and left nine others wounded during a campus study session.

FBI officials confirmed his identity during a press briefing after law enforcement found Neves-Valente dead Thursday evening at a storage unit in Salem, New Hampshire.

The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. inside the Barus and Holley Building during a review session for a class, where a masked man entered and opened fire.

Police released surveillance images of a masked, stocky individual with a distinctive walk, and sought help from the public to identify those involved.

“One key marker is how the person of interest’s right leg bows inward while his toe points outward as he walks.”

Six victims remain hospitalized in stable condition, and the community has been left reeling in the aftermath.

The two students killed were identified as Ella Cook of Alabama and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov of Virginia.

Local residents and students spent days awaiting information as police continued to investigate the scene and search for answers.
