The centerpiece is “Cliffhanger,” an over-water swing ride that will send passengers flying above the ocean with unobstructed views of the open water below.
The attraction is part of a larger outdoor zone called “The Harbour,” designed as a central hub for family activities and open-air entertainment. The area will include a ropes course, multiple waterslides, and what MSC bills as the longest dry slide currently operating on any cruise ship worldwide.
At night, the company says The Harbour will transform into an illuminated entertainment district with extended programming for passengers of all ages.
“As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday,” Steve Leatham, the company’s vice president of entertainment, said in a statement.

The vessel will also incorporate technology-driven experiences targeting older children and teenagers. These include events hosted by an AI-powered avatar and interactive competitions designed to appeal to tech-savvy youth.
MSC World Asia is scheduled to launch in December 2026, operating seven-night Mediterranean itineraries. The routes will include stops at popular European destinations including Barcelona, Naples, and Rome.
Passenger reactions to MSC’s approach remain mixed, according to online travel forums.
