WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Sen. Chuck Grassley demands the FBI and Justice Department answer allegations from whistleblowers that they downplayed “verified” information on Hunter Biden.
  • The whistleblowers accused the two agencies of undermining negative information connected to Hunter by incorrectly flagging it as disinformation.
  • The Republican senator said that if the allegations were confirmed, then it would prove that both offices were “institutionally corrupted to their very core.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley said the FBI and Justice Department have been accused by “highly-credible whistleblowers” of downplaying “verified and verifiable” information on President Joe Biden’s controversial son Hunter.

The whistleblowers alleged that the two agencies incorrectly dismissed the intelligence as “disinformation,” added the Republican senator.

Grassley, the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee made the bombshell allegations on Monday in an official Senate letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The senator from Iowa stressed the claims were so serious that if they were proven, then both offices were “institutionally corrupted to their very core.”

“You have an obligation to the country to take these allegations seriously, immediately investigate and take steps to institute fixes to these and other matters before you,” Grassley told Wray and Garland.

Grassley’s earlier concerns were about Hunter’s overseas business dealings, but his office “received a significant number of protected communications from highly credible whistleblowers.”

The information was about the “FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation,” Grassley wrote. “The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.”

The whistleblowers claimed that in 2020, the FBI developed information about the first son’s criminal financial and related activity,” Grassley wrote.

“Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation,” he accused.

He added that such action continued until at least October 2020, a month before the presidential election. The information was dismissed as disinformation although it was claimed to be “either verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants.”

The assistant special agent in charge then “allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason” — and then “attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future,” Grassley wrote.

If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are – and have been – “institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law,” he wrote.

“Attorney General Garland and Director Wray, simply put, based on the allegations that I’ve received from numerous whistleblowers, you have systemic and existential problems within your agencies,” Grassley concluded. He demanded an investigation and release of any documents on the dismissed probes into Hunter Biden.

FBI to Grassley, Your definition of ‘verified and verifiable’ differs from ours. Therefore, the non conforming structure of your complaint will be ignored until it does. A re-education camp reservation for you will be made soon at a Gulag soon. Bring a pot to crap in.
