China continues to manipulate its COVID-19 deaths

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • China undermined the coronavirus crisis during the early stage which resulted in thousands of deaths nationwide and around the world.
  • The Communist party did not act accordingly until a positive case was confirmed outside the country.
  • China allowed WHO doctors and epidemiologists only in mid-February and still doesn’t permit American experts to help.

China’s early cover-up of the coronavirus outbreak led to deaths of thousands of people not only in its country, but globally. Beijing lied about the status of the crisis in the country then, and continues to lie about it now.

China increased its official count to 50% of fatalities in Wuhan, where the virus begun, from 2,579 to 3,869, after being pressured for weeks. Still, it claimed to have low deaths in its prime cities with frequent-traveling citizens.

With 21.5 million population, Beijing allegedly has only eight fatalities while Shanghai — with 24 million population — has only seven. The virus originated in Wuhan and spread to Europe and America, taking away hundreds of lives, yet it surprisingly somehow managed to barely affect heavily populated Chinese cities.

Truth is, Beijing is still observing heavy protection measures. Those entering the city undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine, and there were surveillance reports alerting officials of anybody coming out or going in their homes.

According to an official government app, Beijing’s Chaoyang district was the only “high-risk zone” of COVID-19. It’s where the capital’s international airport, and big shopping places and embassies are located, yet only around 70 people are being hospitalized for the virus as authorities claimed.

Chinese themselves are not sold to the lies — their reports about thousands of urns delivered to Wuhan funeral homes helped push authorities to (slightly) admit more deaths. Yet still, it is unlikely for any official to be honest about it, since Communist Party members are tasked to undermine any information that could yield embarrassment.

On January 18, Wuhan officials gave the go-signal to celebrate banquet for 40,000 families in time for the Lunar New Year. The millions who traveled, unaware of the need to take protective measures, certainly spread the virus all over China, but Beijing did not act until a case was reported outside the country.

The communist party knew that the virus was suddenly spreading in Wuhan in December, as reports found that there’s probability for a pandemic. Yet, President Xi Jinping refused to make the situation public and instead, his officials silenced scientists and health experts who wanted to warn colleagues.

It was only on January 20 to January 23 when it finally let World Health Organization workers visit Wuhan. However, WHO doctors and epidemiologists were permitted to visit only in mid-February. Up until now, American experts, the best in the world, and American journalists are still prohibited to pay a visit.
