WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Former President Donald Trump said that “dangerous” fruits could be thrown at him by protesters in a 2016 sworn deposition.
  • “Pineapples, tomatoes, bananas, stuff like that,” Trump said. “You can get killed with those things.”
  • MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow mocked Trump over being “desperately afraid of a flying tomato.”

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on her broadcast read former President Donald Trump’s sworn testimony about “dangerous” fruit as she detailed the most recent revelation about him.

“I’m going to jump right in here tonight,” Maddow began on Wednesday night. “I do not think there is any way to ease into this. I don’t think there is any setup I can give you that would make this any more normal. No context I can provide you that would make this less weird. It is what it is, and it stands on its own terms.”

Maddow read from the transcript of an October 2021 deposition that was filed in court Tuesday. It was first reported by The Daily Beast. In the deposition, Trump testified under oath that he was afraid of being hit by “very dangerous” and potentially lethal fruit thrown by protesters.

“With the release of this deposition in this past day, we now know a whole new thing we didn’t know before about former President Trump, which is that he is apparently desperately afraid of a flying tomato,” Maddow said.

Five activists filed a civil lawsuit alleging that they were violently attacked by Trump’s security guards outside Trump Tower in Manhattan. The incident allegedly happened in September 2015. They claim that Trump’s security team, led by his longtime bodyguard Keith Schiller, tore away their signs and then punched and choked one protester.

Trump was testifying and brought up his concerns about flying fruits when questioned for the deposition by the plaintiffs’ lawyer about a 2016 rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Trump told the audience to “knock the crap out of” protesters who might throw tomatoes at him. He also vowed to pay the legal fees of anyone who did so.

“It’s very dangerous stuff. You can get killed with those things,” Trump told the lawyer in the deposition, adding that security needs to be “aggressive” in stopping people from throwing “pineapples, bananas, tomatoes, stuff like that.”

DJT: “I’m asking you, if you see someone going to do something, to do something back.”
grannynanny Pelousy: “I want barbed wire and barricades around our Capitol, because citizens that don’t like Democrats’ Policies of allowing murder and burning of Democrat cities, might use their rights under the Constitution to tell us they don’t like our policies, and Democrats want to make sure it looks like (the citizens (that were victims of our failure to maintain order) are the people that we allowed to murder and burn cities.”

RachelMadcow: “Yeah, what she said, protection against violence is bad as long as Democrats can make it again look like violence is “mostly peaceful.”

Maddow cannot find anything meaningful to talk about so she childishly mocks Trump.

I know Trump says funny things, a lot of the time sarcastic, but it sure gets Rachel to mock him because she doesn’t have a clue about normal, everyday life. Rachel is the most nauseating personality, her opinions on anything are screwy and now another idiotic person is to join her on MSNBC, to help make up stupid stuff, and lie to America. Jen Paski Pesky will help make MSNBC a worthless network.

I’m gonna go out on a limb, like I did with CNN+, and give Jen/BSNBC a month.

The thing that surprises me the most is that how many people even watched Maddow’s show. If it wasn’t for the internet, nobody would know about her stupid comments. She should try out for a gig with the MSNBC+ guy. He needs a job too.

Rachel identifies as a man….the partner is the woman. Everything she talks about has no bearing to reality because all she does is spouts her thoughts and opinions on how she thinks they should be!
    Caustic personality.
