Studies reveal Covid booster shot can give protection for months, even years

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Recent studies reveal that 3 shots against Covid-19 may be enough to protect against the virus for months, even years.
  • A health expert said that they’re seeing declining returns from additional doses.
  • Experts say vulnerable Americans, including the elderly and immunocompromised, may benefit from a fourth shot.

Getting a booster shot against COVID-19 can give protection against coronavirus variants for several months, or even several years, new studies found.

Earlier this week, one study reported on by Apoorva Mandavilli for The New York Times says that receiving three mRNA vaccinations — from Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna — helps the body create a wide array of antibodies. It can prevent death and severe illness and provide protection against variants.

John Wherry, director of the Institute for Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania, told the NYTimes that scientists are “starting to see now diminishing returns on the number of additional doses.” He noted that a fourth vaccination may not be needed to protect against death and serious illness for the average adult.

The NYTimes also cited at least four studies that found that the immune system is capable of remembering and attacking the virus after several months and may even be able to do so for many years.

It’s not impossible to imagine this outcome since scientists have already observed this exact response in individuals infected with the SARS coronavirus.

In the case of SARS, a study found that individuals exposed to the virus during the 2003 outbreak still carried T cells that could remember and target the virus more than 17 years later. Health officials believe this may also be true with COVID-19.

Still, the data is inconclusive as experts continue to gather more information. The studies come as medical officials consider guidance around additional boosters, a discussion that Dr. Anthony Fauci said was “too premature.”

“One of the things that we’re going be following very carefully is what the durability of the protection is following the third dose of an mRNA vaccine,” Fauci said in December. “If the protection is much more durable than the two dose non-boosted group, and we may go a significant period of time without requiring a fourth dose.”

However, experts say vulnerable groups like the elderly and immunocompromised may benefit from a fourth shot. Countries like Sweden and Israel have been among the first to offer the additional booster to high-risk communities.

“MAY be enough; that receiving three mRNA vaccinations … HELPS THE BODY create a wide array of antibodies.” Sounds like that Democratic pelosi-promise that if YOU “lock-down for just 2 weeks” we can flatten the (not from the CCP or wuhan) CCPVID-19 curve with fabic masks and 6′ distancing 2 years ago.

This is lies. These are killing your immune system. Do not take this poison. You’ll develop AIDS. Fuck around and find out I guess.

Thank you for stating the obvious about all these vaxes. The more they talk you into another one, the less your own immune system will have to combat anything else. Vaxes were not meant to stop viruses, just like the flu vax I had to take every year when I was working. They only make the illness less. I didn’t take the experiment china virus vax, I’m healthy and live in a free state. The last time I was sick enough to stay home from work, was over twenty years ago. This vax and booster they are talking about will do more damage than good. Look how fauxi dealt with the aids virus.. vax, vax, vax…and no talk of therapeutics. Sound familiar?

Obviously if this is true, maybe not, this is the exact opposite of what Dr. Fauci thinks. Fauci not to long ago stated, one might need a fourth booster? In the end it’s all about the power, money, and controlling the masses. America would be better off if Fauci retired out to the desert, Victorville, in the Democrat People’s Republic of California.
