Rudy Giuliani, former personal attorney to Former PresidentĀ Donald Trump, was ordered by the New York state’sĀ Supreme CourtĀ to refrain from practicing law in the state on Thursday.

The Attorney Grievances Committee for the First Judicial Department brought the pending disciplinary actions against Giuliani over his involvement in legal attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Trump came to Giuliani’s defense, saying, “Can you believe that New York wants to strip Rudy Giuliani, a great American Patriot, of his law license because he has been fighting what has already been proven to be a Fraudulent Election?”

The former president had nothing but praise for Giuliani, saying, “The greatest mayor in the history of New York City, the Eliot Ness of his generation, one of the greatest crime fighters our Country has ever known, and this is what the Radical Left does to him.”

Trump declared, “All of New York is out of control, crime is at an all-time highā€”it’s nothing but a Witch Hunt, and they should be ashamed of themselves. TAKE BACK AMERICA!”

The five judges unanimously gave the ruling for issuing the suspension, citing “uncontroverted evidence” that Giuliani had made “demonstrably false and misleading statements” while working to overturn the election results in multiple states.

The judges deemed the ruling necessary, stating that the former New York City mayor’s willingness to spread misinformation “immediately threatens the public interest.”

Giuliani told reporters that he will “fight back” by appealing the ruling. He added that it was “ridiculous” to issue the suspension without his presence at a hearing.

“I haven’t had a chance to have one minute of a hearing with them,” GiulianiĀ toldĀ CNBC. He added that instead of looking at the submitted affidavits, “They listen to the false allegations that are made by theĀ DemocratsĀ and disregard the other side of it. Same thing they did to President Trump.”

The ruling specifically mentioned Giuliani’s affidavits, one of which came from a person Giuliani described as an “expert” who claimed that 65,000 minors registered to vote in the election.

According to the judges, no other evidence was provided, along with any clarification as to the person’s supposed expert qualifications. The judges added that Giuliani claimed that there were 165,000 registered underage voters, a number that is 100,000 more than what was stated in the affidavit claim.

Among the dismissed claims made by Giuliani was his allegation that thousands of dead people “voted” in Pennsylvania’s election, including late boxing legend Joe Frazier. Giuliani said he got the information from a “blogger,” but according to the judges, the cited blog wrote about an alleged review of records from 2017 and 2018.
