WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • The new treatment is a drug class combination of immuno support, corticosteroids, anticoagulants, and macrolides.
  • The drug therapy does not kill the coronavirus but strengthens the immune system and protects the lungs.
  • In-patients studies are now underway before its results are published and shared worldwide

A new drug therapy against the coronavirus called ICAM has been showing an almost perfect success rate in tests underway in Ocala, Florida.

ICAM is an acronym for a mix of several types of medications used for the therapy: Immune Support such as Vitamin C and Zinc; Corticosteroids to control inflammation; Anticoagulants to prevent blood clots; and Macrolides to help fight infection.

With over 33 million coronavirus cases worldwide, the ICAM is a cause for rejoicing for the world.

According to Dr. Carlette Norwood-Williams, Director of Pharmacy at AdventHealth Ocala, “What we found out was that ICAM works as a strategy for super defense for the body. It doesn’t kill coronavirus, but it doesn’t need to. Viruses are self-limiting anyway. They have a very short life cycle. What kills people are the consequences of coronavirus in multiple ways.”

Dr. Norwood-Williams added that ICAM’s drug class combination works by reinforcing the immune system and protecting the lungs from inflammation.

Since April, Covid-19 patients admitted at the AdventHealth Ocala had a 96.4% survival rate and according to Dr. Norwood-Williams, “We had no need for mechanical ventilation and the patients all survived the discharge regardless of age and regardless of past medical history.”

Clinical trials for the drug therapy are now starting and its findings will soon be available as they will publish and share it with physicians around the world.

“The ICAM protocol has the potential to trigger the reopening of the country. We will know the next step after our out-patient study,” said Dr. Norwood-Williams.
