Rep. Fred Upton of Michigan revealed he received a threatening voicemail after he supported the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill last Friday.

During an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on “AC360,” the Republican congressman shared one of the many voicemails he’s received since the vote.

“F**king traitor. That’s what you are. You’re a f**king piece of s**t traitor. I hope you die. I hope everybody in your f**king family dies. You f**king piece of s**t trash motherf**ker,” the anonymous male caller tells Upton on the message. “You voted for d*****s f**king Biden? You’re stupider than he is.”

Upton was one of 13 House Republicans who voted for President Joe Biden’s infrastructure package.

The goal of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act includes is to fix America’s roads and bridges, expand broadband internet and increase electric charging stations. On the other hand, the bill’s counterpart, the Build Back Better Act, aims to improve social safety net programs and increase climate change initiatives.

The 13 lawmakers’ support for the bill sparked outrage among some GOP members.

Following the vote, GOP Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Twitter to slam the 13 Republicans. She labeled them “traitors” who are “China-First and America-Last,” and “American job & energy killers.” In another tweet, the Georgia lawmaker listed the phone numbers for the lawmakers’ congressional offices.

Upton said he and his colleagues have received numerous messages from angry citizens.

“We’ve seen civility really downslide here,” Upton told Anderson Cooper. “I’m concerned about my staff — they’re taking these calls. They’re threats to them, our offices.”

The other Republicans who voted for the infrastructure bill are: Reps. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Nicole Malliotakis of New York, David B. McKinley of West Virginia, Tom Reed of New York, Chris Smith of New Jersey, Don Bacon of Nebraska, Jefferson Van Drew of New Jersey, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, Don Young of Alaska, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and John Katko of New York.

Rep. Upton was also among the 10 Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump last year.

Guess what Biden is giving more infrastructure money to blue states that red states and if you are a Republican from a red state that voted for his bill you have to have been promised something from the democrats which you will never get. Smarten up and represent the people of your state.
