House Republicans voted on Wednesday morning ousting Rep. Liz Cheney (WY.) from her post as the chamber’s No. 3 GOP leader.

Cheney is known to be former US President Donald Trump’s critic, repeatedly inciting him over his false claims of election fraud and his involvement with the recent Capitol attack.

Despite the Wyoming Congresswoman’s removal from her leadership post, she vowed to work to keep Trump for being re-elected if he runs for president again.

Trump, for his part, expressed such feat saying that “Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being.”

“I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our country,” he added.

Trump went on to say that Cheney is a “warmonger whose family stupidly pushed us into the never-ending Middle East disaster, draining our wealth and depleting our great military, the worst decision in our country’s history.”

Wednesday’s turnout of votes did not explicitly manifest who among the 212 House Republicans voted strongly for her removal as it was carried out via voice measure, meaning it cannot be gauged how many in the caucus supported for her removal versus keeping her as conference chair.

During the conference meeting on Wednesday, Cheney spoke to her fellow republicans saying that, “We cannot let the former president drag us backward and make us complicit in his efforts to unravel our democracy.”

“Down that path lies our destruction, and potentially the destruction of our country,” she added, according to a source in the room. “If you want leaders who will enable and spread his destructive lies, I’m not your person. You have plenty of others to choose from. That will be their legacy.”

Cheney, the highest-ranking House Republican to vote for Trump’s impeachment for his alleged involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot left the House but assured that she was still not backing down, unapologetic and audacious in her stance that her removal from her post is actually not an indication of where the GOP stands.

“I will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the former president’s crusade to undermine our democracy,” she said.

U.S. news it sure would be nice if your company was an actual news reporting company, instead of a being an opinion touting national enquirer type rag, used to line a bird cage.
