Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former White House press secretary to former President Donald Trump, assured Arkansas residents that the “Trump vaccine” is “safe and effective.”

Sanders, who is now running for governor of Arkansas with Trump’s endorsement, wrote her remarks in a Sunday op-ed published by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

She shared how she also encountered and sorted through “a lot of misinformation,” but eventually decided to get the COVID-19 vaccine “based on the advice of [her] doctor.” She added that she was “reassured after President Trump and his family were vaccinated.”

Sanders also claimed that the New York Times, CNN, President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris promoted vaccine hesitancy by questioning the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed.

The Operation Warp Speed initiative was a public-private partnership aimed at fast-tracking the production of COVID-19 vaccines.

Sanders declared, “If President Biden, Vice President Harris, and others on the left truly care about increasing the vaccination rate and saving lives, they should admit they were wrong to cast doubt on Operation Warp Speed and give President Trump and his team the credit they are due for the development of a safe and effective vaccine in record time.”

While the former press secretary did not explicitly urge readers to get the vaccine, she cited research indicating unvaccinated Arkansans are at risk of experiencing more serious cases of COVID-19. She then stated, “It’s clear that the Trump vaccine works and is saving lives.”

Still, Sanders acknowledged that getting vaccinated is “not an easy” decision and is “deeply personal.” She added that it isn’t her place to tell anyone what to do, throwing shade at officials who “have resorted to bribing, mocking, and even name-calling to coerce people into taking the vaccine.”

As vaccine hesitancy remains, left-led localities like Los Angeles have resorted to reimposing certain restrictions such as mask mandates to help curb the spread of the highly transmissible delta variant.

Meanwhile, many Republican leaders, such as the governors of Texas and Florida, have banned vaccine passports.

Only 36.18% of the population of Arkansas is fully vaccinated. According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker, the state has seen an increase in cases, with 2,015 new COVID-19 cases within the last 24 hours.

Despite calls on a vaccine mandate, Gov. Asa Hutchinson has maintained that it could cause “a greater reaction of negativity toward the government.” The governor added that implementing such mandates was up to the state Legislature.

If the government wants everyone to get vaccinated. And the vaccine is so safe and effective then it should be no problem holding the manufactures liable for injury and deaths caused by them right? They are so safe put your money were your mouth is. Then if a loved one is left with nothing they can be compensated right?
