Even before the 2024 election season is in full swing, the Democrats have been accused of a significant breach of election laws, leading to a state’s Attorney General stepping in to halt their actions.

Around a year ago, the Democrats introduced a new presidential primary calendar for 2024. This move has been interpreted as a covert attempt to manipulate the primary in favor of President Biden, against a group of emerging left-wing challengers who enjoy more grassroots support within the party than the current president.

This change positioned South Carolina as the first state on the Democrats’ primary schedule, replacing traditional early primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire. The DNC believes that Biden has a higher chance of winning in South Carolina than in the other two states, and a strong start in the primaries is often a precursor to victory.

Despite claims from Democrats and their media allies that the change was made because Iowa and New Hampshire are “too white and undemocratic,” skeptics see this as a smokescreen for their real intentions.

New Hampshire state law requires that the state host a presidential primary “7 days or more immediately preceding the date on which any other state shall hold a similar election.” However, the DNC informed New Hampshire that their primaries scheduled for January 23 “cannot be used as the first determining stage of the state’s delegate selection process and is considered detrimental.”

The DNC further stated that New Hampshire is barred from allocating any “delegates or alternates” based on the January 23 election. This is because the Democratic primary in South Carolina, which the DNC needs to be the first for Biden’s benefit, is scheduled for February 3.

Earlier this month, some DNC officials insisted that New Hampshire comply with DNC guidelines to “educate the public that January 23 is a non-binding presidential preference event and is meaningless, and the NHDP and presidential candidates should take all steps possible not to participate.”

This move has been interpreted as an attempt by Democrats to suppress voting in the New Hampshire primary by convincing their voters that the election is “meaningless” and therefore not worth participating in.

However, New Hampshire’s Republican Attorney General John Formella saw through this alleged left-wing attempt to manipulate the election and issued a cease-and-desist order to the DNC, accusing them of breaking election law.

Assistant Attorney General Brendan O’Donnell stated, “falsely telling New Hampshire voters that a New Hampshire election is ‘meaningless’ violates New Hampshire voter suppression laws,” and ordered the DNC to stop such “unlawful” conduct.

O’Donnell wrote, “Regardless of whether the DNC refuses to award delegates to the party’s national convention based on the results of the January 23, 2024, New Hampshire Democratic Presidential Primary Election, that election is not ‘meaningless.’ Your statements to the contrary are false, deceptive, and misleading.”

He further added, “Telling the public or any person qualified to register to vote or vote in New Hampshire that the [aforementioned election] is ‘meaningless,’ or soliciting NHDP or any other party to make such statements, constitutes an attempt to prevent or deter another person from voting or registering to vote based on fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or spurious grounds or information.”

It appears that the Democrats are going to great lengths to ensure that Biden is the party’s nominee for the 2024 general election, even if it means potentially breaking some laws. The extent of their willingness to do so and what their next steps might be remains to be seen.
