As journalists awaited the arrival of former President Donald Trump at the federal courthouse, a hot mic caught them joking about his assassination. The courthouse is the venue for Trump’s criminal immunity appeal, which is set to be heard by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

The appeal comes after Judge Tanya Chutkan denied two motions to dismiss based on First Amendment and presidential immunity claims. The oral arguments are scheduled for Tuesday, January 9.

The three-judge panel that will hear the appeal includes Judge J. Michelle Childs, who was nominated by President Joe Biden in January 2022 and confirmed in July 2022. The panel also includes Judge Florence Pan, nominated by Biden in May 2022 and confirmed in September 2022, and Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson, who was appointed by then-President George H. W. Bush in 1990.

On Tuesday morning, news cameras were set up at various locations between the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia and the E. Barrett Prettyman U. S. Courthouse. The journalists were anticipating Trump’s arrival for the proceedings.

During this time, a live feed caught some journalists engaging in banter about the difficulty of getting a good shot of Trump from their vantage point. The conversation took a dark turn as they made references to the late President John F. Kennedy and a convertible.

The conversation went as follows:

JOURNO 1: “You know what the worst part is? Even if he has his window open and he’s hanging out of it, he will be on the other side of the street.”

JOURNO 2: “I mean, if he’s driving, we’ve got a good shot!”

JOURNO 1: “Yeah, if he’s driving with the front window open?”

JOURNO 2: “Yeah. Like if he just pulls up–”

Clear Thoughts (op-ed)

The recent incident where journalists were caught on a hot mic joking about the assassination of former President Donald Trump is despicable and a clear example of the unprofessionalism and bias rampant in our media. These are the same individuals who are supposed to impartially report on our politicians and the issues that matter to the American people.

Yet, they were caught joking about something as serious as assassination. This is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disturbing. It’s also a stark reminder of the blatant disrespect and disdain that many in the media have for Trump and his supporters.

The hypocrisy is obvious. Just imagine the outrage if conservative journalists were caught joking about the assassination of a liberal politician. The double standards are glaring and it’s time for the media to be held accountable for their actions.

This incident should serve as a wake-up call for all Americans. The media is not impartial. They have a clear agenda and it’s not in the best interest of the American people.

I have always thought that they have done wrong. They are not reporters and should never work anywhere in USA . That means all journalists. New journalists should be hired . I hope USA does the right thing .

You can’t teach and idiot with a big ego and a bigger mouth to have respect, morals and common decency. Just look at who is teaching them, liberal socialists who have none of the above mentioned. Yes, secret service should be called in. They would be if this was one of Biden clan, they would be hauled away to the underground gulag never to be seen or heard from again. Just like the J6 people.
