“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” the post continued.
“Two male narco-terrorists were killed during this action.”
This operation is part of a broader campaign to dismantle cartel-linked networks that threaten American interests.
Southern Command has increased its presence in the Eastern Pacific and Caribbean to disrupt these fast-moving transit vessels.
The Eastern Pacific serves as a primary hub for cartels seeking to move illicit cargo toward Central America and the United States.
