a federal prosecutor stated in court filings.

The arrest came after security personnel at the airport noticed Xu acting suspiciously near areas designated off-limits to civilians. When questioned by authorities, Xu initially claimed he was a tourist interested in aviation.

However, a forensic examination of his phone and camera revealed multiple images of specific U.S. Air Force aircraft, including C-130 Hercules transport planes and C-17 Globemaster cargo aircraft. Court documents indicate that Xu had accessed restricted portions of the airport property to obtain clear views of the military aircraft.
