The complex issue of America’s immigration crisis took a tragic turn recently when two New York police officers were allegedly shot by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. This incident reignited the passionate debate on illegal immigration, especially drawing strong criticism from former President Donald Trump, who blamed President Joe Biden’s policies.
Based on police reports, the officers Christopher Abreu and Richard Yarusso were questioning 19-year-old Bernardo Raul Castro-Mata about a robbery when the event occurred. Castro-Mata had allegedly entered the U.S. illegally from Venezuela and was living in a taxpayer-funded migrant shelter.
“Biden Migrant Crime is out of control and is ravaging America! Last night, two brave NYPD officers doing their job were shot by a Monster Illegal Immigrant who entered illegally from Venezuela last year and was living in a taxpayer-funded migrant shelter,” Trump stated on Truth Social.
“Crooked Joe Biden has allowed in the worst people from around the world, many with serious criminal records, and unleashed them into our communities.”
Trump then underscored the pressing need to secure the border and to finish the border wall. He also criticized DA Alvin Bragg, accusing him of spending time and resources on a “political witch-hunt” against him, rather than focusing on the security of New York’s streets.
“We must concentrate on completing the wall, securing our border, and ensuring our streets are safe. MAGA 2024!” the former President concluded in his post.
The incident that prompted these remarks happened when the police attempted to stop Castro-Mata in Queens as he was driving a moped on the wrong side of the road during a robbery investigation. After the police approached him, Castro-Mata reportedly ran away on foot and shot at the officers, hitting one in the bulletproof vest and the other in the leg. NYPD Commissioner Eddie Caban confirmed this sequence of events.
Both officers and Castro-Mata were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. Additional details provided by NYPD Detective Joseph Kenny revealed that Castro-Mata illegally entered the U.S. through Eagle Pass, Texas, in July 2023 and was living in a hotel converted into migrant housing.

1st they are not Migrants! Migrants come here to work in the fields. These Criminals broke the Law the second they entered this Country Illegally. Start calling them what they are which is, ” Criminal Felons!!”. Now thanks to the Moron squating in Our White House over 5 Million Criminals have broken into this country and unless they get arrested or otherwise caught they are bleeding this country dry. Every Illegal no matter how long they have Illegally been here must be caught and sent back to the country from where they or their parents came from. We do not need these Criminals here

So true to both Daniel and Camille. He was in a shelter and if you get five million people like this, there are some who are bound to be some bad people. biden ought to go to jail for every crime he allows by the illegals.
