Democrat Admits Half Their Voters Would Lose Access Under Voter ID Requirements

Clear Facts
- A Democrat politician revealed that approximately half of their voter base would be affected if voter ID requirements were implemented
- The admission was discussed on “The Alex Marlow Show” on Breitbart News
- The statement was made in the context of Democratic opposition to the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote
A stunning admission from a Democratic Party member has shed new light on why the party continues to oppose basic voter identification requirements. The revelation came during a discussion on “The Alex Marlow Show,” where Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow examined the ongoing debate over election integrity measures.
According to Marlow’s discussion, a Democrat acknowledged that roughly half of their voting base would be “disenfranchised” if voter ID laws were enacted. The statement raises serious questions about who is currently voting in American elections and whether existing safeguards adequately protect the integrity of our democratic process.
“About half of our voters would get disenfranchised if this thing were to go through,” Marlow said, referencing the Democrat’s position. “So you’re saying if you were to show an ID…”
The SAVE Act, which Democrats have consistently blocked, would require Americans to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. Supporters of the legislation argue that such requirements are common-sense measures that exist in most developed democracies around the world.
This admission provides context for understanding the fierce Democratic resistance to election security measures. While party leaders publicly frame their opposition as protecting voting access, this statement suggests their concerns may be more about protecting a voting bloc that cannot meet basic identification standards.
The controversy highlights the ongoing national debate over election integrity. Republicans have long advocated for stricter voter identification laws, arguing they prevent fraud and ensure only eligible citizens participate in elections. Democrats counter that such requirements create barriers to voting, though this recent admission may complicate that narrative.
Most Americans support voter ID requirements. Multiple polls have shown overwhelming bipartisan support for presenting identification at polling places, with many voters viewing it as a common-sense protection comparable to showing ID for air travel, purchasing alcohol, or entering government buildings.
The question now becomes: if half of a party’s voters cannot meet basic identification requirements, what does that say about the current state of American elections? And why should the concerns of those who cannot prove their eligibility to vote outweigh the concerns of American citizens who want to ensure their votes are not diluted by ineligible voters?
As the debate over election integrity continues, this candid admission may prove to be a pivotal moment in understanding the real stakes behind voting legislation.

They are two choices and you had better wake up and start working for the right side. The end is coming fast. If you don’t know who is going to win in the end you had better wake up and think.

The commiecrats openly now support communism, to that end they must not allow voter ID. It’s so much easier to manufacture votes without that pesky issue. If half of democrat voters would be “disenfranchised” that’s too bad. If you’re on welfare and food stamps or government housing, you should not be allowed to vote. It’s a conflict of interest

Trump just killed a bipartisan housing bill that passed 85-5 in the Senate. Not because it was bad policy, but because he ba
The “SAVE America Act” would change the rules for voter registration right before an election. Just 4+ months before Election Day.
If it passes, every registered voter in America would have to show up in person to their county election office with a passport or a birth certificate to stay on the rolls. Not a driver’s license. Not a REAL ID. ONLY a passport or a birth certificate would be accepted.
Over 146 million Americans don’t have a valid passport. Millions more — mostly but not only women — have a birth certificate that doesn’t match their current name. And if you’ve moved, changed your name, or switched party registration since you last registered? You’d have to do it all over again.
This isn’t about election integrity. Noncitizen voting happens so rarely that researchers struggle to find examples. This is about making it harder to vote.

Did you even read any of the bill? Or just listen to the leftist phychos on the view? That why democrats are the most uninformed voters on the planet.

No one, yourself included, has read the final bill, as it is continually changing. Indeed, Trump himself is now insisting that additional voting restrictions be placed in the bill.
Let’s get our facts straight. In the last few days, the nonpartisan organization, The 19th, published an analysis of the current text of the bill. Here is the pertinent part of their analysis (emphasis added):
“The Act would require voters to provide documents proving their citizenship at the time of registration. One accepted document would be a U.S. passport — something approximately half of Americans do not have. Otherwise, a registrant would need to use a driver’s license PAIRED WITH PROOF LIKE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR ADOPTION PAPERWORK. These documents would have to be verified in person at an election office.”
A driver’s license is NOT sufficient. You’re going to need a passport or a driver’s license “paired with” a birth certificate, legal adoption papers or the like. In fact because of these problems, several Republican Senators have said they would not vote for the bill in its current form.

Your information is incorrect. Stop the bullshit Mark. Enhanced drivers license or other government issued photo id would also be accepted. Typical commiecrap, leave out important details.

My information is correct. See my reply above to Rick Bauer’s comment. A driver’s license is insufficient.
And the cult leader wants ever more restrictions. But he’s losing his Senate caucus.

I believe it is not so hard for a person to simply take the step to acquire a birth certificate (I did so for obtaining my Texas driver license Real ID)…it took about a month to receive it, and it cost me $30 – but there is an expedited service that would a small extra cost (total cost maybe $40-$60)…since mostly Republicans are pushing the SAVE Act, then a Republican push to set up a government fund (taxpayer funded, of course) to help with finances (if necessary) could “grease the wheel” for passing the SAVE Act altogether…
With all this stated (above), I think it was Mike Lee (from Utah) who said that the SAVE Act itself mentions that, if a person were to show up to vote without (e.g.) a birth certificate, then the burden-of-proof for citizenship is on the government…so, there would be no cost (of purchasing/acquiring a birth certificate by the voter) anyway…

such pronouncements regarding lack of proof of citizenship for dems i, if its true, indicative of the number of repubs with the same problem. Unless you hold to the theory that dems are just stupider then Repubs.
