Historic Verdict: Trump Found Guilty, Still Eyes 2024 Run
Clear Facts
- Former President Donald Trump has been convicted on all 34 counts in his criminal trial, making him the first former U.S. president to be found guilty of a crime.
- The charges, filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, accuse Trump of falsifying business records concerning a $130,000 payment to pornographic performer, Stormy Daniels leading up to the 2016 election.
- The case, however, does not prevent Trump from running for president again. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11th, just four days before the start of the Republican National Convention, where he is expected to be nominated as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.
The conviction of former President Trump is indeed historic. No former president has ever been found guilty of a crime post-presidency. The Manhattan District Attorney indicted Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records, which Trump firmly denies.
“We didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a very innocent man,” Trump declared after the verdict. “This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt. It wouldn’t give us a venue change.”
Trump not only condemned the trial but also issued a prediction. “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people,” he stated, adding further, “Our whole country is being rigged right now.”
Trump also critiqued the alleged political motivations of the case, saying, “This case was done to wound or hurt an opponent,” before promising to continue the fight for his country.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg defended his actions after the courtroom session. “We should all be thankful for the careful attention that this jury paid to the evidence and the law in their time and commitment,” he said. “I did my job. Our job is to follow the facts and the law without fear or favor. And that’s exactly what we did here.”
The case relied on proving that Trump falsified records to hide the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels to silence her about an alleged affair. The defense maintained that Trump did not commit any crimes and that the district attorney did not meet the burden of proof.
“President Trump is innocent. He did not commit any crimes. The district attorney did not meet the burden of proof. Period,” said attorney Blanche during closing arguments. “The records are not false and there was no intent to defraud.”
Despite the conviction, Trump’s political future is not deterred. The ruling does not bar him from running for president again, a point highlighted by a campaign spokesperson: “Convicted felon or not, Trump will be the Republican nominee for president.”
As the sentencing date on July 11th approaches, just days before the Republican National Convention, Trump remains firm in his innocence and determined to fight against what he sees as a politically motivated trial. As the nation watches, Trump’s political career appears to be far from over.

The brazen, clearly criminal hijacking of a court proceeding that had no named crime (because there wasn’t one), openly biased judge always ruling in favor of a very weak prosecution that couldn’t even name a real charge during the whole trial, book-keeping misdemeanors whose statute of limitations have run out are now suddenly changed to federal crimes by a state George Soros funded DA who has NO FEDERAL AUTHORITY! Judge Merchan is a democrat plant, as is Bragg who campaigned on “Getting Trump”. We are living in a Banana Republic of the new Marxist-Communist party, not the USA, and Trump and Republicans will will by a landslide in November to RECLAIM OUR COUNTRY.
