WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • The Save America PAC of former President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Trump will host a rally on July 3 in Sarasota, Florida.
  • Trump is also set to host his first rally on June 26 in Wellington, Ohio.
  • The PAC said that the former president’s upcoming rallies will highlight his ‘MAGA’ agenda and accomplishments.

Former President Donald Trump will be hosting another campaign-style rally on July 3 in Sarasota, Florida, as announced by his political action committee (PAC) Save America, Wednesday. The event will also showcase fireworks to commemorate the Independence Day holiday.

The rally will be co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida, per the announcement.

Trump’s first part of his four-legged rally, which will commence this coming Saturday in Wellington, Ohio, will be the first time that he will hold a rally beyond his White House tenure. The last time that he facilitated a public address was during the January 6 ‘Stop the Steal’ rally, which people believed to have fueled the US Capitol siege.

Per reports, the Saturday rally will be aimed at promoting the election campaign of Trump’s former adviser Max Miller, who was going up against incumbent Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH.)

The Save America PAC, though, noted that the upcoming rally was not made to campaign for any specific candidate but instead, to showcase “President Trump’s further support of the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of his administration.”

Gonzalez was among the 10 House GOPs who voted in favor of Trump’s impeachment due to incitement of insurrection following the US Capitol violence which resulted in two deaths including one police officer.

In a previous statement last February, the former president said that Gonzalez should not be representing the people of the 16th district because he does not represent their interest or their heart.”

Last month, the former president expressed his interest in holding future rallies in North Carolina and Georgia as he contemplates running for the 2024 presidency. In 2016, the GOP won all four states ━ Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio. Last year, Georgia became a blue state.
