Trump spokesman mocks potential Pence 2024 run

  • Former Vice President Mike Pence has been testing the waters for a potential presidential campaign in 2024.
  • His campaign was mocked by former President Donald Trump’s spokesperson as a “desperate” attempt “to chase his lost relevance.”
  • Pence broke with Trump in the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot when he refused to help overturn the 2020 election.

A spokesperson of former President Donald Trump mocked former Vice President Mike Pence for “hoping someone is paying attention” that he is vying for a potential 2024 presidential run.

Trump representative Taylor Budowich made the remarks in a New York Times piece about Pence’s 2024 presidential aspirations, which he called a “desperate” attempt “to chase his lost relevance.”

“Mike Pence was set to lose a governor’s race in 2016 before he was plucked up and his political career was salvaged,” Budowich told the NYT. “Now, desperate to chase his lost relevance, Pence is parachuting into races, hoping someone is paying attention.”

“The reality is, President Trump is already 82-3 with his endorsements,” he added. “There’s nothing stopping him from saving America in 2022 and beyond.”

Pence broke with Trump following the Capitol riot on January 6.

He refused to help Trump in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and is now campaigning for Republicans who acknowledged President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory.

Pence seems to be laying the groundwork for a 2024 run as he makes appearances in key early presidential primary states, with speeches that denounce Trump’s views of the 2020 election.

More recently, Pence campaigned for the reelection of Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, whose rival is Trump-endorsed David Perdue.

Perdue is expected to lose in the Georgia primary, adding another high-profile blemish on Trump’s endorsement record.

So far, three endorsed candidates have lost in the 2022 primary cycle: Rep. Madison Cawthorn, Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster, and Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin.

Another major endorsement, Dr. Mehmet Oz, is likely heading toward a runoff against Dave McCormick in the Republican primary for an open Pennsylvania Senate seat.

Trump also endorsed Rep. Jody Hice, who is challenging Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s chief election official.

In a primary against Trump, Pence would not get enough votes, and neither would crybaby Bolshevik Kinzinger. Pence or Kinzinger doesn’t have what it takes to get America back on track.

Pense is way too soft to run for President. At the first sign of trouble or criticism he would fold up his tent and quit. What a waste of time to even consider. Maybe he could borrow Biden’s basement. Oh no. That is full of Chinese money. Sorry.

Pension doesn’t have the personality for a President. We are going through that right now with Biden. This country will not last to much longer with Biden and we don’t need another weak President.

I would like to see Pense tarred and feathered and then run out of America.

Trump” tired old repetitive horse deification is still dragging the Republican Party down. Get over it: Trump is a loser and as long as you hang on to a loser the longer it will take for the country to get back to solid conservative policies.
Pence may not be that sharp, but he is not “death” like Trump.

Mike Pence folded to an extreme and decidedly minority group of folks OVER the will of the residents of Indiana when a law was passed by the DULY ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES of the people of Indian. He folded like a cheap suit to two CEOs threatening to un domicile themselves and their companies if he signed the law. Pence caved. One of those companies (Angie’s List) left anyway. The other was Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. How do I know this? I worked for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Cincinnati when our CEO was PROUD of his accomplishment in overriding a law that about to go into effect. A CEO OF A HEALTH CARE INSURANCE company can sway legislation by a letter? Really? Yep, Pence should never have been selected for VICE PRESIDENT, let alone Pres.

Pence was not asked to overturn the 2020 election. Several state representatives asked for more time to verify the election results because of thousands of reports of abnormalities that looked like flagrant cheating, and virtual impossible statistical anomolies. It looks like Pence, the media and the Democrats were the ones who overturned the 2020 election.
