Alex Jones flips on Trump, supports possible 2024 DeSantis bid [Video]

- Jones, a former Trump supporter, said he would no longer “pigheadedly” back the former president.
- The InfoWars shock jock said DeSantis is “way better than Trump.”
Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones officially revoked his support of former President Donald Trump for reelection in 2024.
In a Wednesday night segment, the InfoWars shock jock admitted that he “pig-headedly supported” Trump during his 2020 reelection campaign. Jones said he had grievances about Trump’s Operation Warp Speed in response to COVID-19.
Jones revealed that he’s seen another candidate rise to the occasion — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“I thought that we had to keep [Trump] in office because of the nightmare scenario if Hillary [Clinton] or Biden got in, back before they were officially running. But that said, I am supporting [Ron] DeSantis. DeSantis has just gone from being awesome to being unbelievably good,” Jones said in the video.
DeSantis is currently making noise in the Republican party and gaining support for a 2024 presidential bid. Many polls and pundits put him neck-and-neck with Trump for the Republican ticket. A poll out of the University of North Florida’s Public Opinion Research Lab this week even shows him edging out Trump, 47% to 45%.
Jones said “I am supporting DeSantis” because the governor “has just gone from being awesome to being unbelievably good.” He added that he could see that DeSantis is genuine when watching videos of the politician as he can feel it through his screen.
“I don’t just watch a man’s actions – as Christ said, judge a tree by its fruits,” he said. “I can also look in his eyes on HD video, and I see the real sincerity.”
He continued, saying later in the segment that “this is what Trump should be like. And I’ve been hammering this point, and he’s doing it now. And we have someone that is better than Trump. Way better than Trump.”
Podcast host Joe Rogan and Tesla CEO Elon Musk also said that they support DeSantis’ 2024 presidential bid.

I really don’t care WHO anyone else votes for. I’m voting for the candidate that’s already been tried and TRUE. President Trump has proven to me that he can get practically anything done, in half the time and money it takes most ‘politicians’ to do, and with the greatest of obstacles in his way. (also I could care less about his tweets, although they are funny as heck)

Yes. You are right. I wondered why I even read that…nothing substaintial here, just insults. Not moved. Alex Jones has shifted…so? I never based my vote on his opinion. He had a big megaphone for a while, sometimes he had information worth listening too. People started making his life harder and harrassing him because of his stance on President Trump. He thinks DeSantis is better. He is entitled to his opinion. Will watch and pray as God plan unfolds.

When I was a youth, I was trying to impress the older folks around me by using some fairly uncouth language. My father took me aside and told me that a person the uses obscene and vulgar language is usually slightly mentally deficient therefore, unable to verbalize a complete, coherent thought because they HAVEN’T THE MENTAL CAPACITY to express themselves clearly, since they have only a limited vocabulary, thus needing to fall back on the afore mentioned language.

desantis needs to stay in florida. to lose florida to the left would be devastating for our nation. besides, the left has a butt load of talent to choose from. i am liking candace for vp myself. and we all need to pay closer attention to don jr. this dude can rock an audience because he knows well what is going on in this nation and has a way better handle of foreign policy, because of his dad, than desantis has. at any rate, we need pitbull right now and desantis is the pitbull florida needs. do not push him into the white house. maybe 2032 or 36.

Personally, I would never consider Jones’ opinions to influence my vote – especially after seeing the results of choices he has made for his own life. IMHO, DeSantis should remain as the Florida Governor for another term, or the Dems and RINOs will take control and destroy Florida too.

You should listen to what God says in your heart and follow that direction. I know the Democrats are the ones putting this information forward. They have been Satan followers for a long time. Lucifer has all the Democrats hearts and souls in his greedy little hands. I am going to vote Republican because that is the way God has directed my life. If the ticket says Trump against Democrat whomever, I will vote for Trump. If the ticket says DeSantis against Democrat whoever I will vote for DeSantis. Right now my dollar doesn’t buy all our needs anymore, that is because Biden signed executive order and caused that. I will not support a party that allows that to happen. That is the reason for whomever I will vote for. Trump may be six feet under by November, who will the rest of you vote for if he is gone, I know already, that is the difference between me and you, I plan ahead, at least with Gods good graces.
