Clear Facts

  • Former President Donald Trump attended the wake of slain New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller, emphasizing the necessity of reinstating “law and order” in the United States.
  • Current President Joe Biden, alongside former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, were not present at the wake, choosing instead to attend a high-profile fundraiser in New York City.
  • Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman (R) acknowledged Trump for his presence and support to the grieving family, referring to his attendance as a “comfort” during their time of sorrow.

Former President Donald Trump, while speaking to reporters, voiced his profound honor to attend Officer Jonathan Diller’s wake. Officer Diller tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Trump took this moment to reiterate the urgent need to reinstate “law and order” in the country, noticing the escalating crime rates.

Contrarily, current President Joe Biden and former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton decided to attend a fundraiser in New York City instead of the wake. Their absence from the wake was noted.

Trump, speaking about the unfortunate event, mentioned,
“What happened is such a sad, sad event; such a terrible thing, and it’s happening all too often; and we’re just not going to let it happen.”

Officer Diller was tragically shot during a traffic stop, leaving a grieving family behind. Trump gave his condolences to Officer Diller’s widow, Stephanie, and their newborn child.

Guy Rivera, previously arrested 21 times, has been identified as Officer Diller’s assailant.

Trump praised the police force, stating,
“The police are the greatest people we have; there’s nothing, and there’s nobody like them.”

Talking about his interaction with Stephanie, Trump added,
“I just visited with an incredibly strong woman that now doesn’t have her husband. Stephanie was simply remarkable. Their child, brand new, beautiful baby sitting there–innocent as can be and doesn’t know how his life has been changed.”

Throughout his attendance, Trump repeatedly underscored his commitment to reinstating law and order, indicating his unwavering support for law enforcement personnel and their families.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman (R) praised Trump’s attendance at the wake, accentuating the comfort he brought to the grieving family. Blakeman stated,
“It was very comforting for them. It was very warm inside, and people were very… blessed to have someone like President Trump, who cared so much, spent a lot of time with the family, and was again, a tremendous comfort to the family in probably the most difficult time this family has ever had.”

In the wake of this tragic event, Blakeman also promised to assist Diller’s son, Ryan, saying,
“We are going to help raise Ryan because he’s only one-year-old, and he’s going to grow up without a dad, but he’s going to have thousands of dads that are gonna look after him.”

Biden and Democrats will not face up to their failures. NY governor and other NY democrats are responsible for the out of control crime but when something like this happens they want to show they care when they really don’t give a damn about Americans and America

I hope on Trump’s first day back as POTUS he “undoes” EVERYTHING Biden did as fast as possible. Under demented Biden, we have become a lawless, drug addicted, taxed to death, 3rd world poverty nation that other nations DO NOT FEAR OR RESPECT. Thank you, President Trump, for attending Officer Jonathan Diller’s wake. It certainly shows how caring you are to someone who is a real hero.

No, he didn’t attend the wake because he attended the funeral. Duh! Nice unbiased reporting!

As with the New York Fire Department, New York police remember how Trump opened his hotel to provide rest and refreshment facilities for the city’s emergency services.
