FBI agent resigns amid accusations of bias in Hunter Biden probe

FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault, who was accused of interfering with the investigation into Hunter Biden due to political bias, has resigned from the agency.
Fox News learned from a source familiar with the matter that Thibault has retired over the weekend and was walked out of the building on Friday per standard procedure.
Thibault has been accused of having bias and allegedly attempting to run interference in the investigation of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
On July 18, Senate Judiciary ranking member Chuck Grassley sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland citing whistleblower information. In the letter, Grassley said that the whistleblowers found high-ranking officials, including Thibault, exhibited a pattern of political bias.
Grassley said that there are strict substantial factual predication guidelines that the DOJ and FBI must follow when opening an investigation. But according to the whistleblowers, these guidelines were not followed by Thibault.
Grassley’s letter read, “As you are aware, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Tim Thibault is not the only politically biased FBI agent at the Washington Field Office.” He also noted that “the FBI answers to Congress and the American people.”
Earlier this month, FBI Director Christopher Wray appeared at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. He said that the whistleblowers’ accusations were “deeply troubling” and swore that they will be given protection. Thibault was then removed from his supervisory role.
Thibault was among the 13 assistant special agents in charge at the Washington field office. He had no involvement whatsoever in the FBI raid earlier this month on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
Fox News reached out to the FBI and Grassley’s office for comment. The agency said it doesn’t provide comment on personnel matters, while Grassley’s office responded before publication.

Thibault resigned at “RETIREMENT” – he was not penalized. He will receive his pension without penalty.

The FBI needs to be disbanded and a new Agency established. It is crooked. Maybe it always was? But now it is nothing but a bunch of lefty stormtroopers. The raid on Mar a lago was disgraceful and indefensible. The Hunter Biden laptop and the 51 “Security experts” calling it “Russian Disinformation”. They are all in the bag for Biden. Isn’t it interesting that Hillary’s private emails, with classified information, and Hunter’s laptop did not draw the attention and warrant the level of investigation like President Trump’s documents at his home in Florida. Who cannot see the political bias going on? But yet the call Trump the villain.

Does anyone remember the debacle when Kennedy and Johnson tried to use the FBI for their political gaming. FBI Director Hoover flatly publically refused Kennedy. Those events are presented in the hollywood documentary about J. Egar Hoover. Sadly we have not had the caliber of Director Hoover since then.
