WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

  • Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul, is threatening to subpoena Secretary of State Antony Blinken for failing to produce documents related to the withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 Americans dead.
  • McCaul is seeking documents that could show the Biden administration knew the Taliban would quickly retake control of Afghanistan, but proceeded anyway.
  • The State Department has only produced a fraction of the requested communications, most of which are heavily redacted, and has until Wednesday to produce the requested documents in a complete and unredacted form.

Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul, has threatened to issue a subpoena to compel Secretary of State Antony Blinken to produce documents related to the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 13 Americans.

McCaul is seeking internal documents that could show the administration knew the Taliban would take control of Afghanistan but proceeded with the withdrawal regardless. The State Department has only produced a fraction of the requested communications, most of which are heavily redacted.

McCaul’s committee has been requesting these documents since August 2021, but the State Department has failed to comply with Congress’s legally mandated oversight powers. The committee has been unable to discern the truth about the botched evacuation, and with Republicans in control of the House, this issue has emerged as a top priority.

Blinken is expected to face questions about Afghanistan when he appears before the Senate on Wednesday to discuss the State Department’s 2023 budget proposal.

The State Department must produce all the requested documents by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in a “complete and unredacted form.” In the event of non-compliance, the committee will proceed with compulsory process.

The State Department has turned over 218 pages of documents, which were released in late January in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. However, nearly 88 pages consisted of a publicly available 2021 report on Afghanistan that did not address any of the issues surrounding the evacuation.

The State Department says it is having trouble producing these documents due to their classified nature and the inclusion of sensitive national security information. But the Foreign Affairs Committee routinely accesses documents of this nature and is equipped to process them.

Many of the requested documents could “be produced extremely quickly if they were genuinely prioritized by the department. The committee routinely receives highly classified documents and information from the department on the most sensitive issues confronting U.S. foreign policy, including ongoing threats posed by foreign adversaries.”

What deal? President Trump has a specific plan to withdraw? Biden did not follow it. Intel knew of the bomber and request were denied to take him out. 13 were killed and that is on the current administration.

Trump administration never had a withdrawal plan. Just a promise to the Taliban as to when they could take over again. The Biden administration did allow this date to pass.

Frankly, I don’t believe Blinken or Biden consider Republicans a good security risk.

Biden Harris did the worst withdrawal of our Military personnel. Watching the film where a Chinese plane was loading Military equipment. Biden transported people to the USA without documents, didn’t quarantine or do BGC. Where are these people now? One big mess and cost of lives and Military equipment. Prayers for our country.

Remember, Obama said ‘ Biden fails in everything he does’. Yet, according to Biden, 80M people voted for him. If anyone is that naive and believes that, good night America.

Well then, I guess that’s where the 85 million votes came from. You used my method of kidding my kids when handing out candy, One for you, two for me, 3 for you, 4 for me, 5 for you, 6 for me — you get the picture?

Soros and Obama are running the country, Biden is just the puppet. Biden is very bad with dementia. Many got worse after his head fracture. Obama visited many countries right before Trump took office. These countries were already been visited by Biden and sons. Investigation should show more money paid to Hunter, Hines and other son.

Thirteen Americans dierd because of the incompetance of Biden. Should he not be held accountable for these people’s deaths. If he had stuck to the way Trump was going to do the withdrawal, this wouldn’t have happened. 13 people are dead because of Biden. Of course nothing will be done. If the Democrats cannot blame Trump, nothing will ever be done, even after the country is bankrupt and thousands of people have died because he hasn’t a clue how to run this country.

Trump is to blame. He set unilaterally a unrealistic schedule for withdrawal. And then signed a MOU that made that date unchangeable. From that point onwards it was just a question of how much chaos those actions would create and how many Afghans and Americans would die as a result.

Do you actually believe that. It is total rubbish. Any order set by one president can be overturned by the next one in office. This is a failure by joint chiefs and the president’s advisors and President Biden. Everything cannot be blamed on Trump. Certainly not this fiasco.

“McCaul’s committee has been requesting these documents since August 2021”

So why did it take over a year and a half to get subpoenas? I know why! By waiting so long, the rinos believe that they can get out of oversite enforcement next year when they once again give back control of the House to the commies. It is nothing more than a dog and pony, chess match, show.

Isn’t time to cut out the BS in Washington DC ??? Real Americans are ready to take this country back to a, somewhat, degree of common sense. What has happened to the USofA ??? It’s just political parties against each other – what’s happening to America??? Fools all – stand for the country or get out to one of your liking -your time is getting short, just like your lack of common sense.

Has it become the United States of Republican Party or of Democratic Party? No! It is the United States of America. That is all of us not just some. When will the Republicans and Democrats realize that.
We (Americans) are conservatives, liberals, and middle-of-the-road. We are old and young, black, white, brown, yellow and red. We are all Americans. We are part of the greatest experiment in history. This great Republic belongs to all of us. Remember that.
Will we squander it or preserve it? That is the question.

Trump as President could have withdrawn gear and troops earlier when snow blocked the passes to Pakistan. He did not!
Biden could have waited and withdrawn gear and troops later when snow blocked the passes to Pakistan. He did not!
