House Report Uncovers Security Failures in Assassination Attempts

Clear Facts

  • A House task force concluded that the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, was preventable due to security and communication failures.
  • The task force expanded its investigation to include a second assassination attempt in Florida, where proper security measures prevented any harm.
  • Federal agencies, including the FBI and DHS, have not yet provided requested documents related to the second assassination attempt.

In a revealing report, the House task force investigating the assassination attempts on President-elect Donald Trump has highlighted significant lapses in security and communication that could have been avoided.

The report, which was released on Tuesday, focuses on the July 13 incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, where 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump during a campaign rally.

The task force’s findings indicate that the attack was “entirely preventable,” citing numerous errors such as inadequate site security, technological issues, and a “fragmented” communication structure.

“The Task Force found that the tragic and shocking events in Butler, Pennsylvania were preventable and should not have happened,” the report states. These failures resulted in Trump being shot in the ear, two attendees injured, and the tragic death of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore.

The bipartisan panel, initially formed to investigate the Butler incident, expanded its scope to include a second attempt on Trump’s life in Florida on September 15.

In this case, a man armed with a gun was spotted hiding in the bushes outside the Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach. A Secret Service agent noticed the threat and opened fire, causing the suspect to flee.

Ryan Routh, the accused, was later arrested and is currently awaiting trial.

The report contrasts the two incidents, noting, “Conversely, the events that transpired on September 15, 2024, in West Palm Beach, Florida, demonstrated how properly executed protective measures can foil an attempted assassination.”

Led by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA), the committee visited West Palm Beach on November 16 to further investigate the Florida incident. However, the task force has encountered obstacles in obtaining information from federal agencies.

“The Task Force notes that as of the date of publication of this report, DHS, USSS, FBI, and ATF have not produced any documents responsive to the Task Force’s requests regarding the preparation for, events of, and response to the second assassination attempt that occurred on September 15,” the lawmakers wrote.

The report also references findings from the Senate and an independent panel, which point to the Secret Service’s shortcomings in the Butler rally incident.

The lack of cooperation from federal agencies in providing necessary documentation raises questions about transparency and accountability in handling such critical security matters.

On Saturday July 13, 2024, in Butler, PA, President Donald J. Trump held a rally.
During this rally, multiple shots were fired, injuring President Trump, two other attendees, and killing retired Fire Chief Corey Comperatore.
I was interested in investigating what had transpired, not believing that the 20-year-old Thomas Mathew Crooks was the lone gunman.
I watched “Trump Assassination Attempt Was Allowed To Happen! Geospatial Forensic Review” by Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, on Rumble.
Jovan provided an Audacity picture of the shots fired.

Each shot is comprised of two spikes, the first indicating the time the shot was fired and the second indicating the time the bullet passed by the recording device located near President Trump.
This first shot, I believe, was the one that struck the President.
I noticed noise between the spikes on this first shot, indicating an echo, meaning that this shot was from a further distance away from President Trump than the other shots from Thomas Crooks.

I Google searched for additional information regarding this Assassination Attempt, looking tor a second shooter. A fellow named Tone Vays had an entry titled “Second Shooter”. Although he questioned the first two or three shots locations, he presented an interesting claim, that the initial shot was most likely fired from, in or around, the Butler Gymnastics Club located about 400 meters away, beyond the AGR building, providing a sharpshooter a direct shot to President Trump.
This Gymnastic Club was not used at all during this Rally, and was not included in any security planning.

A good sniper, tasked with a single “KILL” shot, could make the shot and be long gone before anyone would check out that location.
None of the various investigations surrounding this Attempted Assassination, have questioned this initial noise on the first shot.
Thomas Crooks did not shoot President Trump. He did shoot the other people,
Why wasn’t this Gymnastic Club location considered?

I have been stymied trying to get this information out to anyone, so hopefully you can have better luck than I.
