Clear Facts:

  • Surveillance footage from Miami International Airport has captured two TSA officers, Josue Gonzalez and Labarrius Williams, allegedly stealing from passengers’ luggage.
  • The duo, along with Elizabeth Fuster, were arrested for their alleged involvement in an organized theft scheme. Gonzalez and Fuster admitted to stealing roughly $1,000 daily from travelers.
  • While Gonzalez might see his charges dropped upon completion of a deferred prosecution program, Williams is set to face trial for third-degree felony grand theft.

Airport security is designed to ensure the safety of passengers and their belongings. However, disturbing surveillance footage from Miami International Airport paints a different picture.

Two TSA officers have been implicated in a theft scheme, accused of systematically pilfering from travelers’ luggage.

The incriminating footage reveals Josue Gonzalez, 20, and Labarrius Williams, 33, allegedly sifting through passengers’ bags at Checkpoint E. They purportedly worked in tandem to discreetly extract money and other items from wallets and bags while passengers were preoccupied with security screenings.

One particular video segment illustrates Williams covertly searching a bag, with Gonzalez subsequently pocketing an item from it. According to NBC Miami, their pilfered loot included a significant $600 from just one passenger’s wallet.

The pair, alongside another colleague, Elizabeth Fuster, 22, were apprehended in July, charged with involvement in a systematic theft plot. Gonzalez and Fuster confessed to multiple thefts, acknowledging that they had, on average, stolen about $1,000 daily.

Despite her initial involvement, charges against Fuster were later dismissed.

Gonzalez, having entered a deferred prosecution program, may see his charges dropped upon successful completion. He has been mandated to compensate the identified victims with $700 and fulfill 25 hours of community service.

Williams, however, will be facing trial, having pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony grand theft charges against him.

Regarding the Article indicating that Illinois is the first state to eradicate Cash Bail – this simply isn’t so. Several other jurisdictions have
done so. NYS did so and it has been complete disaster – at least in part resulting in a massive crime wave and mounting recidivism.

Story said that they were no longer on screening duty. Why do they still have a job? I’m confused.

These thieves are BLACK so they will never see a day in jail and probably be back working for TSA before long.

I have traveled mny miles via commercial air and have had my checked bagged pilfered. Here’s a tip: Never put anyting of value in a checked bag.

Put your valuables in a carry-on and never let it geet out of your sight.

I have run into to some real creeps weraing th TSA uniform.

They are worse than average thieves because they were in positions of authority and they abused it. They belong in PRISON right along with the other criminals. No exceptions for them.

This is not terribly surprising since their employer, the TSA, exists only to violate two different provisions of the US Constitution. They conduct warrantless searches which violates the 4th Amendment to insure passengers are unarmed in violate of the second Amendment. A little robbery is nothing compared to those violations of the Constitution.

They should be in prison! NO deferment programs, throw the book at all of them, and ban them from getting ANY job anywhere!

Like everyone else, TSA had to lower their hiring standards. It shows.
