Meghan Markle Shares Bold Insights on Harry
Clear Facts
- Meghan Markle openly expressed admiration for Prince Harry in a recent Harper’s Bazaar interview.
- The couple left their senior royal roles in 2020 and now reside in Montecito, California.
- Meghan has continued public engagements and commented on her evolving life and career.
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, shared new personal details about her relationship with Prince Harry, five years after their royal exit.
During her interview, she referred to Harry as “H” and described his support and unique perspective due to his media experiences.
“He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t,” she said.
Markle emphasized her trust in Harry’s support.
“No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back,” she added.
She also spoke about Harry’s childlike wonder and playfulness, noting how it has positively influenced their life together.
“I was so drawn to that, and he brought that out in me,” Markle stated.
She expressed how this playful spirit carries over into their professional and personal life.
“That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play, have fun, explore and be creative,” she said.
Markle enjoys balancing work from home with raising their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and making selective public appearances such as at Paris Fashion Week.
“I love being able to do both,” Markle said.
“To play in the sandbox with my kids and to sit in the front row at a show. The moment you start making personal decisions based on external judgment, you lose your authenticity.”
She appreciates the opportunity to work from home and stay close to her family.
“My office is right by the kitchen, and I love that I can also work from home. It’s a great luxury,” she explained.
The duchess described how public attention led her to develop stronger personal boundaries and consider self-protection strategies.
“I think my boundaries became stronger once I came into the public eye in this very … I could think of any adjective to fill the blank,” Markle reflected. “And it would probably work. You find different ways to protect yourself, whether that’s self-preservation or it’s just growing up.”
Since leaving royal duties in 2020 due to media scrutiny and reported lack of support, Meghan and Harry have discussed their experiences in various books and documentaries, including Harry’s memoir “Spare.”
Reports indicate Meghan will play a small part as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film “Close Personal Friends,” alongside Brie Larson, Lily Collins, and Jack Quaid.
In 2017, before her marriage, Meghan left the television show “Suits” after a seven-year run.
“I don’t see it as giving anything up; I just see it as a change,” she told the BBC then.
She explained her pride in “Suits” and her excitement for her new role and charitable causes.
“For me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, ‘You know what? I’ve ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to, as you said, work as a team with [Harry].’”
Markle noted her transition allowed her to focus more on causes she values and to embrace greater responsibility.
“I think what’s been really exciting as we talk about the transition out of my career and into my role is the causes that are really important to me that I can focus even more energy on,” she said. “Very early out of the gate, I think you realize you have access or a voice that people are willing to listen to, and with that comes a lot of responsibility, which I take seriously.”
In 2022, Markle addressed speculation about returning to acting.
“I’m done,” she told Variety. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not,” she said.
