WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Sen. Graham says the Trump administration should scrutinize allegations on the recently concluded elections.
  • The senator told Fox News during an interview that by not responding to questions and changes in the election system, the Republicans will no longer see another GOP president.
  • Earlier, Trump frequently criticized massive in-mail ballots, claiming that the system is prone to fraudulence.

On Saturday morning, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R- South Carolina, called out news outlets that gave a projection favoring Democrat nominee Joe Biden as the victor of this year’s election, adding that the recent polls are yet to be concluded because of dispute.

Graham told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that there are many claims of potential deceit or inaccuracy that’s enough to change the election’s outcome. He urged fellow GOPs to contest the thought that they would have to accept Biden’s win. The senator cautioned that if they would not, it will send out a wrong message that’s not good for the party’s future.

The legislator further warned that the inaction towards the U.S election system,  no Republican president will ever sit at the White House again. Graham stressed that President Trump must not accept defeat.

“President Trump should not concede, we’re down to 10,000 votes in Georgia, he’s going to win North Carolina, we’ve gone from 93,000 votes to 20,000 votes in Arizona, where there are more votes to be counted. There are allegations of system failure, fraud,” the senator said.

Graham likewise claimed that Michigan’s computerized voting system is doubtful, advising John James, Republican’s Senate candidate there to question the results. Similar to President Trump’s situation, James seemed to be leading on the election night, but absentee ballots gave a lead to his Democratic rival the next day.

The senator further discussed some of the issues that surfaced from the election night. There were reports from Trump’s team in Pennsylvania that there are early 100 voters there believed to be deceased, and no less than 15 was confirmed. The team, Graham added, that also saw six cases in Pennsylvania were registered and names got to vote even they already passed away.

There are also allegations of back-dated ballots claimed by an Erie, Pennsylvania postal employee, which the senator said is to be investigated by the Postal Inspector, FBI, and the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Graham went on to say that Trump should fight in court because “there’s a lot of shenanigans going on.”

Before the election, Trump, along with other Republicans, had told the media that comprehensive mail-in balloting would muddle the poll and prone to fraud. Graham pointed out on Sunday that these concerns are substantiated.

He said the post office had become the election hot zone,  and what the Republicans have been bothered about was now clear. Graham furthered underscored how important it is for the GOP to challenge the 2020 election as it is vital for the Republican’s future in the White House.
