Clear Facts

  • Missouri State Rep. Chris Dinkins named Piedmont the “UFO Capital” in August.
  • In 1973, over 500 people reported seeing a fleet of UFOs over Piedmont.
  • House Bill 1261 designates Piedmont as the “UFO Capital of Missouri” to mark the 50th anniversary of the event.

In August, Missouri State Rep. Chris Dinkins officially named the town of Piedmont its “UFO Capital.” The reason behind this designation is quite unsettling. Over the years, hundreds of Piedmont’s residents have reported seeing UFOs floating around, according to KSDK.

Sara Phillips, Piedmont’s Chamber of Commerce executive director, told the outlet, “My grandpa loved to spin a tall tale about things he saw.” The phenomenon began in 1973 when more than 500 people called local law enforcement to report a “fleet” of alien spaceships flying over their homes.

Sean Rost, a member of the State Historical Society of Missouri, said, “One resident said that if they had to estimate half the residents had seen something in the sky. Clearwater Lake becomes kind of the epicenter of this.” He added, “There are people reporting seeing lights above the water. There are people seeing lights under the water.”

The FBI and the military were called in to deal with the situation and to explain the phenomenon to locals. However, to date, no firm explanation has been provided.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the event, House Bill 1261 officially designates Piedmont as the “UFO Capital of Missouri.” The bill was sponsored by State Rep. Chris Dinkins in the hopes it will attract more tourists to spot the lights that apparently still fly over the small town.

Clear Thoughts

The recent designation of Piedmont as the “UFO Capital of Missouri” is a testament to the power of the unexplained in capturing our imaginations. With half the town’s residents claiming to have witnessed extraterrestrial activity, it’s clear that the 1973 event has left a lasting impact on the community.

Despite the lack of a concrete explanation from the FBI or military, this unresolved mystery continues to draw interest, proving that the allure of the unknown transcends time and reason. As we approach its 50th anniversary, let’s celebrate Piedmont’s unique legacy and the enduring fascination with the enigmatic skies above.

They are demons, they are not aliens. Figure it out. So supposedly “aliens” come from another galaxy, to tell people to embrace New Age ideas, that Christianity is wrong, and a little common sense would help figure that out.

We all know , the existence of UFO’S , in the water & in the sky, Aliens SEEN, from people ALL over the “World”, significantly is “REAL”! They are HERE, ALWAYS have been! In my opinion, these Aliens, are here for “THEIR “, benefit, NOT OWER OWN! This is a very frightening & Satanic , group from other benevolent planets. They take as they please, humans, any age, & innocent Animals, for horrific reasons! & Quess WHAT?? There is “ Nothing “, humans can do , to stop this “HIGHER POWER!!!

What is it with that stupid little screen off to the right? It never goes away, and there doesn’t seem to be an “X” with which to get rid of it, and the ‘Top Stories’ are all old and out of date. One cannot read the story selected because one has to move the screen content up or down to read a line or two before adjusting again. Probably going to send Crystal Clear News to the dump heap of SPAM, can’t read it anyway, so it is mostly useless. I even had to adjust the screen several times while writing this to be able to read what I had written.

If they flew over Piedmont, they must have also flown over other areas. How come we don’t hear from them? I believe in UFO’s but there is nothin here to make this story believable.

Actually, in all the universe, our Blue Planet is the most interesting and beautiful place. The mentality of the UFOs or their occupants is kind of juvenile. They are eager, cute, sometimes silly, of course intelligent, but the kind of mature wisdom of a seasoned elder is something they cannot find anywhere else. It’s no wonder they come to visit in droves. Also, now is the most important time in history: the Last Days, the time of the Second Coming. Of course there would be hosts of angels coming to attend to that event. That’s what we’re seeing, especially now in our time.

500 people and not one camera????? Sounds like 500 people got together to spin a tale.

Kind of a dumb article without proof pictures.

I suspect the aliens visiting Earth are the equivalent of rural teenagers going “cow-tipping”. “Look there’s a trailer park, scan for the one with the fewest teeth…”
