  • Rep. Kurt Schrader is facing potential defeat in the Oregon Democratic primary despite receiving President Joe Biden’s endorsement.
  • The White House is not concerned about the possible loss, however.
  • Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that Jamie McLeod-Skinner, who is leading the race, has previously praised Biden and is also running on the president’s agenda.

Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), who was endorsed by President Joe Biden, is facing potential defeat to challenger Jamie McLeod-Skinner in the Oregon Democratic primary. But the White House is not viewing Schrader’s possible loss as a criticism of the president’s agenda, since they see both candidates as supportive of Biden.

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Wednesday that Schrader’s potential defeat does not pose any concerns that the president’s sway is weakening within the party.

Jean-Pierre stated, “The race in Oregon was focused on just how much each candidate supported the president. That’s what we saw in this particular race.”

Last month, Schrader received Biden’s endorsement, which the president rarely gave during the Democratic primary races.

McLeod-Skinner has been leading with 61 percent of the vote as of Wednesday afternoon, with roughly 53 percent of precincts reporting in Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.

Jean-Pierre said that despite not receiving Biden’s endorsement, McLeod-Skinner has been running “on an agenda of President Biden’s priorities, including lowering the price of prescription drugs and tackling climate change and the fossil fuel pledge.”

The press secretary added that McLeod-Skinner has previously praised the president’s handling of the situation in Ukraine. When Biden’s endorsement for Schrader was announced, McLeod-Skinner began her response by stating that she respected the president’s work on addressing the pandemic and economic issues since taking office.

Jean-Pierre reiterated that the White House is “not at all” concerned about the potential defeat of Biden-backed Schrader, “Because again, both candidates were running on a platform that supported and embraced the president’s agenda.”

In other words, the Democrats are throwing in the towel.

“Throwing in the towel” would mean “no cheating,” and that won’t happen. This, to Democrats, is just their choice of worse and worserer for our country (supports bidden’s policies more, or even more). either choice weakens the U.S. so both are acceptable.to globalists.

The democrats know they have very little to worry about. They have proven no matter how many votes they need to win they will come up with them no matter what it takes.
