  • FBI increased reward to $1 million for Omar Alexander Cardenas, Ten Most Wanted fugitive accused of 2019 murder.
  • Cardenas allegedly shot Jabari Dumas in Sylmar shopping center using semi-automatic handgun.
  • Former Pierce Street Gang member, 5’6″-5’7″, 240-300 lbs, thick glasses, tattoos, possibly hiding in Mexico.

Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell confirmed the $1 million reward for Cardenas, known as “Dollar.”

A local arrest warrant charged him with murder in 2020; federal warrant followed in 2021 for fleeing prosecution.

Search of his home uncovered the suspected getaway vehicle and shooting evidence.

FBI Los Angeles Assistant Director Akil Davis warned Cardenas against hiding in Mexico.

“Our relationship with Legat Mexico is very strong. They specialize in apprehensions like this,” Davis said.

“Mexico is not safe for you, Mr. Cardenas, if that’s where you’re hiding. I have full faith in this task force that they will bring you to justice.”

Davis emphasized Cardenas remains armed and dangerous.

Traditional values demand swift justice against violent gang criminals terrorizing American communities.
