Televangelist Marcus Lamb, the founder of Christian Daystar Television Network passed away Tuesday after battling COVID-19 for weeks. He was 64.

The network announced Lamb’s passing on Twitter.

Since the coronavirus pandemic started in 2020, the network has reported vaccine misinformation. It routinely gives airtime to vaccine skeptics and anti-vaccination advocates.

Lamb’s wife, Joni, said that her husband had developed “COVID pneumonia.” She said Lamb had pre-existing conditions during Tuesday’s broadcast of the daily “Ministry Now” program.

“He never talked about that,” she said. “He had diabetes, but he kept it in check. He was very healthy.”

Jodi said both of them had been following “many of the protocols talked about here on Daystar” to treat him. She noted that Lamb “100% believed in everything we’ve talked about here on Daystar.”

Lamb’s son, Jonathan, said that his father’s COVID-19 infection “is a spiritual attack from the enemy” during a Nov. 23 broadcast on the network.

Texas-based Daystar is the largest Christian network in the U.S. Globally, it is the second-largest with believers reaching more than 2 billion people worldwide.

Lamb and his wife had their own show, “Marcus and Joni,” but was replaced by their daily “Ministry Now” program during the pandemic.

Daystar broadcasts a series of shows featuring prominent people who are against the Covid-19 vaccines. Guests included Robert Kennedy Jr., Del Bigtree and America’s Frontline Doctors founder Dr. Simone Gold.

Lamb hosted those three personalities in a December 2020 broadcast. He called them as “great experts” who could help people make an “informed decision.”

Earlier this year, Lamb again featured Kennedy and Bigtree in a broadcast. Lamb said the COVID-19 vaccine was “not really a vaccine” and that the two guests would be providing “startling up-to-date information that could save your life.”

A number of prominent anti-vaccine Christian media personalities have died of the coronavirus this year. Radio hosts Dick Farrell, Phil Valentine and Bob Enyart, all unvaccinated, died after contracting Covid-19.
