WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has been constantly criticized by former President Donald Trump amid speculations that he would run for president.
  • Trump kept calling DeSantis “disloyal” and criticized his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • DeSantis said that the voters made the judgment on that when they awarded him a record reelection victory.

Former President Donald Trump has been coming after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis amid speculations that the governor would challenge him for the Republican presidential primary. After Trump criticized the governor’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, DeSantis responded by saying that the voters made the judgment on that when he achieved a record reelection victory.

Speaking at a press conference in Bradenton, he said that critics have been “attacking me from all angles” for several years. He continued to say that it’s a “good thing” that “the people are able to render a judgment on that” through re-election.

“In my case, not only did we win re-election, we won with the highest percentage of the vote that any Republican governor candidate has had in the history of the state of Florida,” the governor declared. “That verdict has been rendered by the people of the state of Florida.”

DeSantis had previously talked about his record re-election victory, but his statements on Tuesday seemed to be a direct response to Trump’s criticism against him.

Trump endorsed DeSantis during his first gubernatorial run — a move that the former president kept referring to whenever he was asked about the governor recently. During his campaign in New Hampshire and South Carolina, Trump told reporters that if DeSantis were to run for the Republican nomination, it would be “disloyal.” He also labeled DeSantis as another Republican establishment candidate.

The former president said that the governor was “trying to rewrite history” over his handling of the pandemic. During the first months, DeSantis allowed lockdowns and pushed for vaccination. But after skepticism of the vaccine grew among conservatives, the governor shifted his tone and has since asked for a grand jury investigation into any “wrongdoing” associated with vaccines.

Trump has been the Republican frontrunner in the presidential race so far. But while DeSantis has not made any statement confirming a presidential run, conservatives have seen him as Trump’s biggest rival. Analysts are expecting him to announce his run later this year, perhaps after the Florida Legislature’s annual session ends in May.

Love you, DeSantis. I really do. But it’s just not your time. America owes President Trump another 4 more years in the White House. He was not only cheated on in the 2020 elections, but he also endured 7 years of constant non stop evil witch hunts, not because he he did anything wrong, but so that they can have something happen, then all blame gets put on Trump once again. Back off, DeSantis. Your time will come in 2028. We owe President Donald Trump justice.

And we also owe Ashli Babbitt justice. If asked, I definitely know Trump would be 100% on board to have investigations into Ashli’s murder, then a conviction, then prison. Ron DeSantis on the other hand, I don’t see him even caring about her at all. Think about this, seriously.

      Andrew:
Trump has had his chance. He has shown in many, many ways why he is not fit to be President of the United States. He has also been rated the second worst President. He is a habitual liar, who is only interested in himself and making money for himself. He lost the 2020 election fair and square. No investigation has proven otherwise. Time to give DeSantis a chance and put Trump in permanent retirement. Prison!

If Trump wants back into the white house he needs to shut up about the vaccine! From what I understand he’s lost a good 30 percent of supporters because he still believes it was a “beautiful thing”. The truth is still coming out and if he’s found to be an investor, it’s OVER!!!

Repugnants will embrace any autocratic narcissist as long as they adhere to the Repugnant agenda: manufactured culture wars to sow division and taxcuts and handouts to billionaires, mega-millionaires and polluters paid for by working people. The reality boils down to this: Repugnants have no honor, no ethics, no morality, no principles, no conscience, no ideas, no platform and no sanity. As for Establishment Dementiacraps, they are Repugnants with kabuki theater. The only sane vote is the vote of no confidence in thei shit show.

I voted for President Trump. I think he was good for the country against terrible odds.there are people that hate him with every core of there body. I am not one of them. I do not feel he should run not run in 2024. I think we should be looking for someone younger that is more in tune with what is going on today. I am not saying he is not in tune . I just think he has a different agenda. As much as I like DeSantis he is not the answer at this time. He still has a lot he wants to do in Florida. The Republican Party needs to take a long hard look at the people that represent the Party and has some balls. Whom ever runs in 2024 will have to deal with the good old boys and Ladies that should be retired or get voted out. We the American people are also to blame for today because we were lazy and didn’t pay attention to how our law makers were creating comfy jobs with ideal benefits for them selves and watching out for us the people that pay their hefty salaries. Every time the budget comes they should be worried about their salaries not being paid . If that were the case they would find an answer right away.

We really like DeSantis as our governor. I would like him as president as well. I love Marco Rubio. They both do t need to get in a pissing match with Trump. Trump lost his chance with me when he couldn’t quilt acting like a 12 year old boy fightingn name calling and being a poor me baby. He had a chance to walk In for another term but he couldn’t keep from acting like a spoiled kid. Now he is name calling and bullying DeSantis. Stop it and act like a grownup. Just ignore the bullies in the press and Dems and just get to work on making America great Again. Your sniping is tiresome. Please governor DeSantis don’t take the same route as trump. You are great and dont waste your breathe defending yourself against the stupid comments. Stay the course.

WOW attacking him for being right !! Trump may have been the hidden wolf.I voted for him but the death jab he promotes is beyond concerning. If tyranny & all the claims going on in this world were true Trump would have been back before now. I now am very skeptical that trump is our hidden Mole….Desantis is the only governor that stood for his people during this world take over. I wish I was in florida at this time ! Perosnally hope he does run for President..

I voted for Trump twice – He was the best president since Reagan. However, He did not do a lot of things he said he would – like not vote for continuing resolutions after the first year. He signed all 4. He did well on taxes – even though my finances came out about even – I neither gained or lost at the time, This year will be lesser taxes than previous three – OK then – we live with the tax structure given us. Donald was not a spending HAWK as he should have been, and I understand he has no problem with debt as long as it can make money – but government spending has no good benefits that pay off for the CITIZENS of the USA. The worst problems he had was a RHINO congress and Senate. They worked against him. BUT, The Donald’s mouth is his own worst enemy, and has the thinnest skin of anyone except the Democrats. Ron DeSantis has done well for Florida, and should be admired by all. I am against having another

Trump was alone among the wolves. Alone in the field is not a warrior. Today he is with the team, today he is POWER!
