Kanye West had another outburst on Monday when he posted a series of rambling, late-night tweets.

In the since-deleted tweets, West claimed that his wife, Kim Kardashian, had been trying to have him locked up for medical reasons. He also compared himself to Nelson Mandela and remarked that the movie “Get Out” was based on his own life.

The tweets were posted just a day after his first presidential campaign rally in Charleston, South Carolina.

West declared in one of the since-deleted tweets: “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.”

The rapper had become emotional at the South Carolina rally when he spoke against abortion. He tearfully revealed that just like his father had tried to abort him, he also initially considered aborting his first child with his wife before deciding to go through with the pregnancy.

A later tweet, which has also been deleted, stated: “If I get locked up like Mandela Ya’ll will know why.”

The tweet referred to Nelson Mandela, who was imprisoned for nearly three decades under apartheid and eventually became South Africa’s first Black president.

In some of the tweets, West referred to “Get Out,” a horror film depicting race relations, claiming: “Everybody knows the movie get out is about me.”

West’s later tweets directly addressed Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner. He appealed for them to contact him at his ranch in Wyoming.

The rapper surprised everyone when he announced his presidential bid on July 4.

Some expressed doubt on whether he was serious and even suggested it was simply a publicity stunt to sell albums or merchandise. He did recently announce that he will be releasing his new album, DONDA, on Friday.

Others theorized that it was a ploy to siphon votes from Democratic presumptive nominee Joe Biden and help President Donald Trump win.

The 43-year-old rapper and entrepreneur had been a vocal supporter of Trump but he recently withdrew his support following the announcement of his own campaign.

West’s latest outbursts had prompted his fans to ask about his health. Some of his Twitter followers even implored Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who tweeted earlier that he supported West’s presidential bid, to “Save Kanye.”

Musk responded, “We talked about an hour ago. He seems fine.”
