WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

  • Seven people, including a 2-year-old girl, were shot and wounded in north Philadelphia on Thursday evening.
  • One or more shooters are at large and the motive for the shooting is not immediately known.
  • This is the third shooting in nearly one week in Philadelphia.

Seven people, including a two-year-old girl, were shot and wounded on Thursday evening near an elementary school in north Philadelphia, according to the police. The shooting occurred in the city’s Strawberry Mansion neighbourhood around 6 pm near the James G Blaine school. Police found nearly 30 spent shell casings at 31st and Norris, where the shooting happened. The toddler girl suffered a gunshot wound in her left thigh and was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was listed in a stable condition. Among the five teenage boys injured, a 15-year-old who was shot twice in the chest and once in the right side of his body remained in a critical condition. He was taken to Temple University Hospital. Another 13-year-old and two 16-year-olds suffered injuries in their limbs and were reported to be in a stable condition. A 31-year-old woman was also shot twice in her left leg and was in a stable condition at the hospital.

According to the police, one or more shooters are at large, and the motive for the shooting is not immediately known. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw stated that “this has been a fairly quiet portion of the 22nd district for quite some time now,” and the authorities are still piecing together all the details to understand what happened. Outlaw also mentioned that the shooting occurred a few hundred feet away from an elementary school but did not appear to have started there. The shooting took place as a non-school event was ending, said Philadelphia School Board President Reginald Streater.

“This is a tragedy, this is unacceptable,” said Streater. “There were young people there, and it’s just something that should not happen.”

The incident is the third shooting in nearly one week in Philadelphia. On Tuesday, two teenagers were injured in gunfire on the 1900 block of West Montgomery Avenue. The boys remained in critical condition. On February 18th, a Temple University police officer was fatally shot, and a suspect was arrested for shooting the officer.

It wasn’t the 2 Y/O it was the boys who were shot. Most likely a gang disput. And if you really look at it, it was most likely another black on black killing that wouldn’t have made a ripple without at 2 y/o being shot.

The idiot leftist cabal supports criminals by defunding ,denigrating police ,and moronic
bail reform / catch and release .They do nothing to go after criminals but target
      law abiding gun owners .

Looks like the suspect is black. ,,,,, and likely the victims are too. Not that people of ANY race should have to put on a steel pot and flak jacket to go to the corner store, but this will never be more then a one time blip on the main stream media. – And that makes it it all the worse. It’s the black neighborhoods where the most killings have always been taking place, but unless it’s a white nutcase with an M-16 mass shootings are no big deal. This critical race wokeness is doing a gross injustice to Americans that happen to live on the plantation. Isn’t it news when they are shot or killed? Apparently Black lives do not matter to the media.

And because there was a 2 y/o shot is the only reason we are hearing about it now. The black on black killings are not part of the narrative of the leftist racists. I was shocked that they even reported the black cops killing a black man. Oops, forgot–they were cops so that did fit the narrative–cops killing innocent people and in that case it was true. Notice how quickly it went away and how there was no inciting of riots.
The leftist want to keep the victimhood of the blacks alive. If they aren’t victims, they can’t be used in their agenda. Obama was the worst racist I’ve seen in a high profile public office. He did more to destroy race relations than any one person since the civil war.

I’ll bet the prisons are still empty. I don’t think there’s even been one lowlife tried and convicted.

Blacks. Always Blacks. Until this country acknowledges that Blacks are a major problem, the carnage will continue.

I’d state that MANY of the shootings are done by blacks, perhaps a majority of them. But I believe the attempt to categorize shootings as ALWAYS done by blacks is an indication of racism. I fear your comment that blacks are a major problem is a way of saying we should remove ALL blacks one way or another. I hope I’m wrong, but as a conservative constitutionalist and a conservative Christian, I must speak out.

Hi Recce1, I believe the statement that Tamituna made is correct in that it is a general statement meaning that it always seems that way. The problem as I see it is that the vast majority of shootings is black on black crime even though blacks only make up less than 15% of the population. It really is a problem, but if the police do their jobs like they should, they are labeled racist and worse. So what would you suggest? I personally would like to see the police being able to do the job regardless of skin color and everyone should stop complaining about it. There needs to be consequences regardless of who commits the crimes without all the racist and equity screaming in the aftermath. Otherwise we, as a nation will collapse into anarchy.

The police have their hands tied if there are no convictions. No bail, not tried & convicted. It’s liberal justice.

The blacks aren’t the problem. The Critical Race Theory where they are treated as victims is. If you were to listen to most of those who live in the ghettos, they see themselves as victims of the whites and blame everyone but themselves for where they are. I lived in a ghetto. I’ve seen and heard the comments about me being trash because I was living there. They believe they are entitled because their families were slaves several generations back. Instead of working and getting out of the ghetto, they are content to be there, playing the victim when they are the ones who are keeping themselves there.

One of the people I respected the most was a black surgeon who had what I call magic hands. He was great–just good. Like me, he made sure he didn’t stay in the ghetto. I got out in 2 years, it took him a bit longer. His mother put him through medical school and then her put her through nursing school.

What most of the blacks don’t see is that you can work your way out of proverty. But–and here is the problem–you have to manage your money, get that education/training to get there. From what i’ve seen, they are more interested in instant gratification than getting out of where they are. They get money and it’s spend on brand name clothes, expensive jewelry and cars . Most of the black girls who worked with me would complain every month about not having enough money to pay their rent after showing of that $400 purse of $250 shoes–things I couldn’t afford. And when asked why they bought those things it would be something like: “I’m entitled/deserve a few nice things.” So there you go. Blacks are not the problem. The problem is the victimhood beliefs that have been shoved down their throats instead of they “you and do and be whatever you want, but you have to work for it.”

Mealer You are so on point. One cannot over ride that victim mentality. It boils down to, give money, bikes, shoes, what ever ????, but, how about next time? There is never enough, quick enough, or ??? because there will always be a motive ascribed to it. With CRT and other systems, like Disney cartoons and many others, designed to split Society and destroy America I myself have become a bit defensive and wonder when I should make preparations for survival.
