New York Snare for Notorious TikTok Flashy Gang Leader Wanted for Multiple Murders

A notorious Peruvian gang leader wanted in his home country for nearly two dozen murders was arrested this week. The man, 38-year-old Gianfranco Torres-Navarro, was captured in Endicott, New York, as revealed by an announcement made by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Thursday.

Torres-Navarro, currently held at a federal detention facility near Buffalo and awaiting an immigration hearing, first entered the U.S. illegally through the Texas-Mexico border on May 16, authorities disclosed.

“Upon crossing the Texas-Mexico border illegally on May 16, Torres-Navarro was detained by U.S. Border Patrol near Roma, Texas before being released into the U.S. with a scheduled immigration hearing.”

Federal authorities were not informed of Torres-Navarro’s criminal status in Peru until nearly two months after his initial arrest. It is alleged that Torres-Navarro absconded from Peru following the murder of a retired police officer, Cesar Quegua Herrera, in a San Miguel restaurant in March.

Accompanying Torres-Navarro was his girlfriend and alleged lieutenant, Mishelle Sol Ivanna Ortíz Ubillús, who was also captured on Wednesday. “Torres-Navarro and his girlfriend, Mishelle Sol Ivanna Ortíz Ubillús, were arrested together on Wednesday.”

Torres-Navarro is said to head a gang called “Los Killers de Ventanilla y Callao.” The gang is infamous for using violent means to deter rival groups looking to infringe on their alleged business of extorting construction firms.

Thomas Brophy, director of enforcement removal operations for ICE’s Buffalo field office, commended the officers’ efforts. “Our ERO Buffalo officers did an excellent job in taking this individual into custody,” he said in a statement, underlining his belief that Torres-Navarro posed a substantial threat to community safety.

Ortíz Ubillús, currently detained at a processing center in Pennsylvania, is said to have played a major role in “Los Killers,” acting as Torres-Navarro’s aide-de-camp and cashier. She has a significant following on TikTok, where she frequently showcased her lavish lifestyle, featuring high-end clothing, resort vacations, and time spent at a shooting range.
