WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • President Joe Biden said in an interview that “the public is not going to pay attention” to investigations against his family.
  • Biden has accused House Republicans of trying to “make up things about my family” in their plans to investigate his son, Hunter, and his brother, James.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday downplayed plans by Republican congressmen to investigate his family members, saying the public will not be interested in it.

In an interview with PBS NewsHour after his SOTU address, host Judy Woodruff asked the president about the House GOP’s plans to use its new majority to investigate his son, Hunter Biden, and his brother, James Biden.

“The public’s not going to pay attention to that,” the president replied. “They want these guys to do something. If the only thing they can do is make up things about my family, it’s not going to go very far.”

Republicans have been saying that once they take back the House majority, they will begin to probe the Biden family, accusing the president’s son and brother of using the family name for their personal gain.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee’s website features a landing page titled “Biden Family Investigation” that lays out how the committee is “investigating the Biden family’s domestic and international business dealings to determine whether these activities compromise U.S. national security and President Biden’s ability to lead with impartiality.”

On Wednesday, the committee held a hearing with former Twitter executives about the suppression of a New York Post story before the 2020 election about Hunter Biden’s laptop and its contents.

The White House dismissed that hearing as a “bizarre political stunt,” and Democrats argued that the Americans would rather see lawmakers focus on more pressing issues.

Biden has always defended Hunter whenever he’s asked about corruption allegations saying he is proud of him and that he has “great confidence in my son.”

The Hell we won’t pay attention. It’s common knowledge that his whole family is their own little crime syndicate. Maybe they’ll get some headway on Biden’s extortion of Ukraine! Hell, he bragged about it at a recorded meeting!

Well ol Joe is right about one thing. The ones who voted for him will not care. As long as perversions and criminal activity are to be ignored by the left then they will continue to back the worst POTUS this country and even the world has ever known. We have our own modern day Nero watching the country burn while he licks his ice cream from a cone.
