Biden: ‘There’s nothing’ on classified documents, ‘no regrets’ over actions [Video]

- President Joe Biden was visiting California to assess the storm aftermath when he was asked about his handling of classified documents.
- He said he had “no regrets” since they “immediately turned them over,” adding that “there’s nothing there.”
- Biden expressed his frustration over repeated questions about the documents instead of the current issue in California.
President Joe Biden told reporters on Thursday that he harbors “no regrets” about his handling of classified documents found at his former office and his residence.
The president was visiting California to assess the damage from a series of extreme weather events. After delivering his speech, a reporter asked him about the classified documents.
Biden expressed his frustration that the reporter chose to ask questions about that instead of the “serious problem” in the state.
The reporter then asked the president if he had regrets about not immediately revealing that such documents were discovered less than a week before the midterm elections last November.
Biden responded, “We found a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place. We immediately turned them over to the Archives and the Justice Department. We’re fully cooperating and looking forward to getting this resolved quickly.”
“I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets,” the president continued. “I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no there there.”
Biden’s legal team discovered classified documents on four separate occasions: on Nov. 2 at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, on Dec. 20 in the garage of his Wilmington, Delaware, residence, and on Nov. 11 and 12 in his home library.
Biden previously slammed former President Donald Trump over his possession of top-secret material.
“How that could possibly happen, how one anyone could be that irresponsible. And I thought what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods. By that, I mean, names of people helped or et cetera,” Biden told CBS News. “And it’s just totally irresponsible.”
Last week, former Maryland U.S. attorney Robert Hur was appointed special counsel by Attorney General Merrick Garland in the Justice Department’s investigation into the documents.

Historically, if Biden says there is “nothing there,” the plan of concealing the truth is fully in place and we will not learn the truth unless a whistle-blower gets a conscience.
