Disney’s Shift Shows Loss of Traditional Morals
Clear Facts
- Classic Disney films emphasized conscience and responsibility.
- Modern Disney stories promote personal freedom over traditional values.
- Traditional Western tales often centered on meaningful social roles and duty.
Recent cultural trends have shifted the way fairy tales are told, with a noticeable move away from longstanding moral principles.
The contrast is clear when comparing Disney’s “Pinocchio,” focused on conscience and responsibility, to the more recent “Frozen,” which celebrates rejecting rules and embracing personal freedom.
“Always let your conscience be your guide,” from “Pinocchio,” signified a time when maturity meant accepting responsibility and protecting one’s family.
In “Frozen,” the popular lyric, “No right, no wrong, no rules, I’m free,” demonstrates a dramatic change by embracing a worldview that rejects fixed morals.
This shift reflects a deeper transformation of American values over generations, moving away from duty and family toward individual desire.
Traditional Western stories, like Shakespeare’s comedies, often ended in marriage, symbolizing growth and generational continuity.
Shakespearean tragedies highlighted the failure to fulfill moral and familial roles, especially when young characters perished.
These timeless tales underscore the enduring importance of taking on defined roles and responsibilities within society.
Today, society increasingly questions or rejects these roles, favoring so-called “authentic” desires and personal liberty at any cost.
When liberty is misused to erase roles altogether, society risks chaos as foundational values are lost.
True liberty exists within the framework of responsibility, not in abandoning all standards.

I believe I can honestly say, or perhaps hopefully say that the majority of change from moral and traditional values to a more selfless, no rules, no laws, no responsibility, but freedom to do whatever I chose stems directly from the changes we have seen in the democrat party, liberalism, movement towards a more socialists thinking society. This position includes the lack of religious beliefs, especially Christianity and Judaism, lack of accountability, increased lack of justice, marriage and family. They have also been loosing the sense of pride to be an American, and many no longer believe in America, believe we should be a sovereign nation, and in a way, have decided that a bigger government is better, and the government should be more in control of we the people.
Conservatives have become more liberal in their thinking and actions, and are more in line with where the democrat party was several decades ago. However, most of us still put God first, still believe in the same Judeo-Christian values this country was founded on, we believe in the moral and traditional values we have always believed and practiced, we strongly believe in marriage, family and religious freedom. We still support and defend the entire constitution, our judicial system, a government as it was established, law and order, accountability and everyone should be judged by their character and actions, and not by their skin color, wealth or status in life. Although we have accepted a more liberal view in many areas, we have basically remained the same people, with the same values, same desires and same freedoms as we always have. As Gene Simmons recently stated during a CNN interview, “why should we care what political beliefs our neighbors have, it’s there America too”. However, the problem with the democrats is that they force their beliefs, desires, and immorality on everyone, and when we refuse to accept their ways and their destruction of this country, they become violent. I believe we all want the same basic things, but conservatives are not willing to change who they are and what they believe is good and right, and we will protect ourselves and this country from destruction, even when it comes from within. Unfortunately, many great nations were destroyed from within, and I just hope and pray that we all get through these horrible times and together we become stronger as Americans thereby making America stronger than other. Can you imagine what America could be if we were able to stop the crazy nonsense and actually respect each other and work together to put America and American citizens first?
