Movers Trap Child Abductor Using Trucks

Clear Facts
- Phoenix moving crew spotted Amber Alert toddler and suspect Marina Noriega at QuikTrip gas station.
- Workers positioned trucks to block suspect’s pickup until police arrived.
- Two-year-old Kehlani Rogers recovered unharmed; Noriega faces felony custodial interference with $250,000 bond.
A Camelback Moving crew heroically trapped an alleged child abductor in a parking lot after recognizing the missing toddler.
Kevin Place heard the security guard alert police inside the store.
Coworker Ralph Vollmert noted Place rushed out to identify the child in a nearby vehicle.
The team coordinated instantly, blocking the suspect who never tried to flee.
“I hear the security guard talking on the phone. I’m assuming he’s speaking to police. He says, ‘I think I see the little girl,’” Place said.
Camelback president Chad Olsen praised the real-time heroism on dashcam footage.
“We’re a moving company, so we’re not professional heroes by any means. But to listen to the dashcam and watch the dashcam footage of the crew kind of identifying the situation and who this was, and putting the plan together that we’re going to block this truck in with our truck and not allow them to leave. I couldn’t be more proud,” Olsen said.
The Amber Alert issued February 21 followed Kehlani’s disappearance from Avondale.
Noriega admitted methamphetamine use while with the child; they slept on streets.
